Those templates are already posted and ready to roll if this isnt changed back to 24 hours...It is a terrible idea. I can only imagine the "clever" gimplates that can be created.
Where are they posted? Those templates are already posted and ready to roll if this isnt changed back to 24 hours...
Boy... people are fast!
As much as I like being able to change skills around I have to agree that timer needs to be put back, but let go with 12 hours not 24. Then I have to wait only a half day to change skills back around.
You're right I'm. Now how about you telling me how smart you're? I mean your claims are that this will change pvp.Kage... You are scary smart when it comes to amazing PvP templates. You need no more advantages...
This is not intended and we are working on a fix.
Ah man give the players a bone. at least make it 4 or 5 hours that should keep both the pvp and pvm happy. Have you notice it's a constant struggle between both groups. one group want to restrict as much as possible the other group wants more freedom. This is not intended and we are working on a fix.
I agree with Kaiser. It shouldn't take 2 days to change a template between 2 characters. A shorter timer would be nice. I was so happy when I heard the timer was gone, it's a pity it was unintentional.Ah man give the players a bone. at least make it 4 or 5 hours that should keep both the pvp and pvm happy. Yes it is a pity. The sad part is the people who do not want it feel that way because they think it will make a lot of gimplates... But I think my post explained that it's not that easy...I agree with Kaiser. It shouldn't take 2 days to change a template between 2 characters. A shorter timer would be nice. Most of the issues you mentioned there are easily overcome. I use LOTS of soulstones - enough that I have a standard macro-set-up that works for any skill/template arrangement... The suit is also very generic (max most every property and it is tailored to most every skill). I am good to go after 3 to 4 min - not 10 and certainly not 45... The two minute combat timer is the only real restriction you mentioned. You're right I'm. Now how about you telling me how smart you're? I mean your claims are that this will change pvp.
Care to explain? Because I honestly don't think you have a clue about what you are speaking of.
Just explain to me how this will change pvp?
Because like I said... The skill cap is still the same this does not allow you to go over 720 skill points...
There is a combat flag timer of two minutes...
You must use the soulstone in a house that you own or are a friend to...
When you do swap templates a lot of things come into play as well...
Uo Macros must be changed... Uoassist Macros must be changed as well...
It's not like you can just run into a house throw on a crazy template and be out the door pvping in 10 minutes....
Yes you can swap out your entire template but after that... You have to make several changes... So you will not be good to go for about 45 minutes...
I'm guessing that you're not really into pvp? Most of the issues you mentioned there are easily overcome. That said - I am not really sure the 24-hour timer helps either... there's always a 2nd soulstone you can use to get around that...
Yes, having extra stones helps. But for those players who only have 1 or 2 stones (personally, I have about 7 or 8 and it's not enough) switching templates between two characters could take a week or more. Because of the difficulty/cost of obtaining stones the 24 hour timer is too harsh of a penalty. That said - I am not really sure the 24-hour timer helps either... there's always a 2nd soulstone you can use to get around that...
Sigh. My favorite new feature of SA and it's a bug. Figures. This is not intended and we are working on a fix.
I've done plenty of PVP over the years - just have no interest in the current p-v-hack/script.I'm guessing that you're not really into pvp?
Because when it comes to swapping a template out everything must be changed...
Suits of armor, Jewls, Regs, Darts, Stars, Smoke bombs, if you can do all of that in 3-4 minutes, plus change your macros, then there would be a problem but I dont believe that lol
Also... Stat points also come into effect when changing templates... and there is still a timer and cap on them... So you cant just go from a mage to a dexer in 10 minutes...
Kage... You are scary smart when it comes to amazing PvP templates. You need no more advantages...
Meh, I figure the gimplates are there already. You can't use stones in combat, so thats all that really matters.Make your case... I remain unconvinced at this point that this can not be abused.
Wait, huh?You can craft them.
We ran a Harrower last night on my home shard...I've done plenty of PVP over the years - just have no interest in the current p-v-hack/script.
Yeah... They are just one shot (one charge) wonders... but it can be done.Wait, huh?You can craft them.
But please consider lowering the timer while you "fix" it - it can take up to a whole WEEK to change a template if one only possesses a few stones. This is not intended and we are working on a fix.
And neither is Siege, fix the timers.THe production shards are't test centers... they don't need instantaneous skill changing.
Correction: I apologize there was a mis-communication and this was taken out on purpose. The timer will not be added at a later date.
