If we dont get the expansion

So Im sure its been asked but search is nuts to try and find obscure stuff.. so my question.. if we don't get the expansion (for whatever reason) are we going to be left out of future quests and story lines?

I can't afford to get one right now (got laid off and things are REALLY tight) and I don't want to shut down my acct.. but if everything is going to be about SA and done there are those that can't/won't get the expansion screwed?

If I had to guess, I would say your game play would be quite limited as far as new content goes. How much are people who didn't upgrade to ML effected? I don't know as I never really played without it, however that could be a great place to look if you wanted to make an educated guess. Failing a Dev response that is.

You have 2 options. The first is that if you have enough gold, there are people selling the SA upgrade codes for gold, which is a great way to get your account upgraded. I did this myself. The second is to keep the account open without it being upgraded. What this will mean in the future is that you can still interact with the game, you just won't be able to interact with any gargoyle items, or go to the new land. This still leaves you everything else in UO to experience. It'll even free up some formerly camped hunting spots for the next couple of months while everyone is busy with the new stuff.

I personally have a ton of accounts and up until the recent ML promotion, they were of various levels of content they could access. Heck, I think I still have one or two accounts that can only access Trammel and Felucca. What I found, however, was that the EM events were mostly held in Trammel so I could attend on all my accounts. Occasionally, there'd be an expedition to one of the other lands, but for the most part, they've planned events that the majority of players can attend. I wouldn't worry about not being able to take part. This event they promised this week might be an exception because it's about opening the moongate, but based on their previous performance, I'd say you'll have plenty to enjoy.

In case you missed it, sablestorm, all those old Trammel/Fel only accounts, as well as any Pre-AoS, AoS and SE accounts, ALL got a free upgrade to Mondain's Legacy content last month.

Im a 10 year vet so I have done all I can in tram/fel/malas/tokonu without overkill.. as for the code for gold if you dont mind pming me info that would be FANTASTIC!! I was wondering what I was going to do with my gold.. hehe
