Deleted old accounts

Well.. EA has deleted inactive accounts that have not been used... I know i activated one for a bit 2 years ago... but that account is not active nor even listed in my list of accounts. I did the forgot user name in may. The account was on it

I did it last month, and this month, and compared to the one from may. Since may they have deleted old accounts that have not been active in the last 2 years.

Just a heads up.

They deleted only old trial accounts, which never used longer than month or so.

To my knowledge we have not deleted any accounts. If you are unable to locate your UO account please create a ticket at http://support.ea.com.

Actually they deleted an account that was used for years... one my father in law used. its gone.

Or that account has been activated by another person and they changed the password and email on it.

How do you assume, that the account is deleted? If you refer to myUO, there are only chars from currently active accounts shown.
I also have never seen any complaint or outcry about deleted accounts in all the time I play the game.

Where/how do/did you get this list of all the accounts you own?

you go to owo.com and edit accounts. you then select forgot user name. it will send you all accounts associated with your email.

and i am not the only one that experienced this. a friend had it happen and she called billing. they say that the account does not exist. that it was deleted because of inactivity. so i checked myself. i have the email from may that has accounts listed that are no longer listed in the email i got last month and the one i just got today.

We have had a strange thing happen with one of our 5 accounts the past month or so.

When I type the account name and password into account maintenance, we get a welcome message and are offered the KR code to make a new account, although this account is at about 4 years old now and just turned 36 months paid. (all the other accounts are between 4-5 years old and under a different email)

No one actively plays this account anymore so we use it as a householder account and pay it every 90 days.

I try again later the account shows up just fine.

I had recently changed the password and the email address and the credit card it's paid with so maybe that has something to do with it?

Well if billing encountered the same odd thing that I did, when they entered the account name into the system it may have shown them that the account did not exist, although it really did.

Like I said, sometimes that one account of ours seems to not exist, but a later try at entering the account info and password found it.

But I assume your friend tried accessing the account via account management before they called Billing?

I have several old accounts that I know the login to but can't ever use again because I forgot the password, no longer have the same email and/or the CC info. I wish they would find an added way to recover old accounts. It's my own fault but all those years ago I didn't think I would need them anymore. If there is another way to recover them, I would be delighted to know how. Thanks!

I just checked my account which hasn't been active since 2004. I was able to login to the account details. It will come active again, but probably next month. The request accounts only gives you something like 10 accounts. If you have more, some will be missing. I have a database I created to keep track of all my accounts as well as when they went inactive and thus far I have been able to access them all when I've needed to.

*sigh* I wish I had been that smart! Great idea to keep track of that stuff. I would have my wonderful old accounts if I had done what you did.

I think you are talking to the wrong people. Billing it self, my not have a record of your account because there system may delete what they consider old info. You may need to talk to a different department so they can put it back in. People checking the status of inactive accounts may be doing this.

Are you just giving them the account name or account name and email address? If you give them the email address they are seeing the same thing you are and just telling you it was deleted.

If the email address was changed on that account then it will not show up on your email address. That account may have been hacked or given away by any of the users that knew the name and password of that account.

Do you have old bills with your credit card info? Even if you don't use the card, perhaps you can still recover the account by providing that information.
