I'm just curious which one of you reported me for my spawn house. I never knew someone could get banned for using a tool given in the game( house placement tool) and placing a house in a location the game allowed it. Especially on a brand new stygian account! well thanks alot guys, your true colors prevail once more . . . . . . .

Although I hate snitches myself, but think about it, it was only a matter of time before your house got removed anyway. And the fact that you are on siege means you knew better rather your account was a new one or not.

I remember when they removed house blocking items and you could place much closer to gates. They deemed this illegal and all the people were told to remove the houses. They listened and they did, and I placed in the spot. Then they changed their minds. I was asked to remove my house and give it back to the original placer. Which I did, but I bitched that it condemned my old house and I dropped it. Needless to say I was well compensated. Anyway a ban was stupid. There are speedhackers running circles around me and somebody gets banned for this crap?

Lindsey wasn't banned because of what she done, she is just what we call a "casualty of war", the war against EA and the exploiters.. They banned Lindsey to send a message, not as an act of punishment. Everytime a new client comes out they are very buggy and people go far and beyond to exploit the buggy clients making EA's work even harder, this way if they start banning the people who exploit these buggy clients, although I truly don't think Lindsey was doing, but this will send the message that EA aint gonna put up with it and will probably slow down the exploiters.

This is only a theory as I have no clue as to why this person was banned. My 2 cents.

A house was placed there during Beta and posted in the Beta forums to get fixed.... so the developers definately knew about it and should have fixed it if they had a problem with it.

A naked mage/tamer with a dog should not be able to stay alive running circles around me. And I did not die. I have died once since I have been back and that was a GD gank in covetous to gil.

I don't think a ban was in order just delete the house and fix the problem.

Although placing a house in a spot you know is a mistake is the risk you take.

Was it a temporary ban or was it a ban-ban?

If it was a real ban then maybe you can PM ChrissayEA with details and maybe she can look into it. IMO, a perma ban is not justified for placing a house anywhere...

No kage I didn't think they would allow it, I figured eventually someone would discover it and the gm would either deleate the house or ask me to. Not ban me for it without even talking to me, I tried to log in and bam no warning no message no nothing. And no its not perma its 72 hours . . . but still, brand new account! I could have been a fresh uo player for all they knew, and it says nothing about not being able to place a house in a champ spawn on the service agreement. How is a brand new uo player even supposed to know its a champ spawn if its unactive, he just wants a house next to this cool skull thingy!

It is rubbish to ban for this. It was a known problem in beta, all they had to do was stick a log there and make it a blocked location.

Lindzey, I don't think you should take the ban personal, I imagine they have a ton of things to solve, and are at this moment using quick, easy solutions wherever possible. Your account just fell victim to the speed.

You will enjoy your account long from now, but the house was just not a good plan.

Pixies are uber easy to combat in a 1v1, just throw poison darts at them. Trick I learned on TC.

I didn't report you nor did I hear anyone being particularly annoyed about you having that house there. I actually wished I had grabbed the spot first; reminded me of some old time placments. Did they perma-ban you over something stupid like that?

Imo they shoulda done thier job right and made it so a house could not be placed there..

Perhaps a gm discovered it on thier own? perhaps soemone besides one of us saw it? Hell, I told everyone to leave ya alone when the question of whether or not to kill you came up; said you had been helpful to Kage and myself earlier.

I do not think anyone would have to page. This issue has come up on several shards. You were likely just caught in the dragnet. I am glad the ban was temp... I am certain that others have felt the sting.
