Dear Devs... aquiring the 3rd key for the abyss isn´t thought through well :(

I don´t think it´s the best idea to give the 3rd key of the evil shadow to the peeps doing most damage.
Getting lootingrights should be enough.
At least this way, some people can satisfy their greed, without stressing people that don´t stand a chance against them when it comes to damage output.
It really sucks if you are in this room for some hours and waste your time without getting the last key.

Or at least make this beast a lot harder, so it doesn´t die within 5 seconds when 5 evs are bashing on it.

Prolly wasn't a good idea since it drops a kick butt robe. Now we have campers and no one can get the key.

I apologize :(

This encounter is meant to be relatively easy, but it's *also* meant to give every single attacker a key (if they need one). I've just looked at the code, and yes, there's a mistake in there that causes it to fail out of the loop attempting to reward each attacker.

This will be rectified in the next publish - along with a probable increase in the encounter's difficulty.

Draconi please have a look at the people camping the evil shadow apparently no one can get a key with a whole guild killing the evil shadow as it spawns.

Wtf. next publish? dude. atlantic has like 20 people farming cloaks, and another 15-20 just griefing with fields everywhere. this guy drops in less that a second. and spawns 4 times an hour?

Fix this **** now. who the **** thought it was cool to put the cloak on the same guy who gives the last key? Sure in the next few days it will be resolved from lack of interest but damn. bad move.

Agreed, putting a high end item on a scrub monster that spawns once in awhile, but you have to kill to finish the quest to enter the real dungeon was a serious misjudgment.

Over the weekend, you DID get the last key if you only did part of the damage. I helped kill one and didn't get a cloak but was able to finish the quest.

Can we just change it to where everyone that does damage gets the robe AND the key? Problem solved for everyone that way.

This isn't what I wanted to spend 30 bucks on for sure. It doesn't take alot people blocking others from getting a key, it only takes one necromancer and one spell to take the evil shadow creature down in 10 seconds.

When will the dev's ever address the necromancer templete and put it in line with the other mage templetes.

This morning, I took my mage character to get keys, I gained fame and no key, and I got a Shroud of the Condemned and no key, go figure?

I hate the greifing process of a new expansion :wall:

Some of you are so dang angry. It isn't hard to get a rune, or do the quest on off hours. It will be addressed in the next publish, be patient.

I also don't understand how this one bit of a problem makes the whole expansion bad. Some people seem to just want to whine and complain I guess.

If you can get a rune to Tel Mur, you can do the gargoyal quest that doesnt require to you to obtain the 3 keys to enter the abyss. It will take much less of your time. This is obviously an option, not intended to make anyone angry.

The thread at the link above describes how to do the Naxatilor quest and then take the quiz at the Shrine of Singularity so you can enter the Abyss from the Tomb of Kings (or from the Underworld, if you prefer).

You can shortcut through the process of entering the Abyss via the Tomb of Kings by just doing the steps that involve visiting the museum, reading the books and visiting the Shrine of Singularity to meditate and take the quiz. However, once you do that, it appears that you can no longer try to do the Naxatilor quest to receive the reward it provides.

Dracmeister, I know you mean well, it shows, believe me......but some of these posters aren't crying or grieving, but telling it like it is.

I personally dropped 60 bucks on the expansion, and have gotten one character, out of 12 into the abyss, due to the robe mongers.

I sat for a 1/2 hour, not even knowing it spawned...(can't see squat with everyone on top of it)

I even asked, pleaded for a shot, just to get that key, and was snubbed.....Wasn't til next morning, when 3 of us took turns. We were so lucky the robe campers weren't there at the time.

To wait for the next publish though.....ain't cool. Unless you got a higher up pulling the strings, and you're hands are tied. But as it is, well, I can't say, I'd be banned for sure........wait....flustercluck works.

Is this Tyball guy vulnerable to mage and/or undead slayers? I found him fairly tough to kill on my archer.

Is this true?

I got to Tyballs and could not get a third key. At 2 am I had to leave without getting third key.

I was told I cannot do the quest from the Ter Mur side since I began the Garamon one and never completed it..

Is this true?

Next publish will make Tyball harder? oh great idea ... :( Meanwhile the campers gather the great robes. Why did you let this happen and why do you let it go on? What is the reason I ask politely ?

You may want to think adding a CAP for that robe (as well as other farmable items) per day per account.........

Personally, I think that one's own freedom ends when it harms others and I think that farming a given MOBs for hours on end preventing other players to enjoy that MOB is harming their game play.

Therefore, making the MOB harder won't help much. Players will still farm it and actually it will take longer to kill and therefore will result in farming becoming even more of a problem.

Instead, if you CAP what an account can get per day, then farmers will have to move on or waste their time there......

Just an idea since farming can hurt others' game play......

This is NOT true. You may start and finish the quest from Naxatilor AND meditate and answer the quiz at the Shrine of Singularity AND go into the Abyss from either entrance and run through to the other end while you still have unexpired keys from the Garamon quest in your backpack.

I did it last week right before I posted the directions for the Naxatilor quest.

*rolls eyes at the mindless cap idea*

No cap!
Simply make the key easier to obtain. Anyone who can damage the creature for X amount has the key pop into their bag. Simple as that.

If we leave the robe spawn the way it is people will lose interest in the spawn much faster and sooner or later it will be ignored like a lot of other creatures. Just let it flood the market.

it took me 1 damn hour lastnight to get a key..i would get rights and nadda not one key or a robe for that matter to many people attacking and not there for a key in first place. it was quite frustrating to say the least.

Sometimes it's hard just to get a hit in before he dies. Make it so that if you are in the area when Tyball dies you get a key. That way people that need keys will get them and not have to deal with people farming the robes.

Thank you Tina Small, because the next time I run my other characters threw it will not be by way of the keys
