[UO Herald] Shards are being brought down

We are bringing the shards down for their final maintenance period before the launch of Stygian Abyss. Shortly Stygian Abyss will be available through the EA Store and through UO gamecodes. Keep an eye out here for announcement. If you have never ordered through the EA Store before you may want to read our article HERE.

Ok know when it is being patched but no answer on questions or confirmation aobut whether or nor Non-US players will be getting the tokens or why people with multiple accounts cannot get more than one set. Again the lack of information is disturbing. We have gone from 10 accounts to up grade to MAYBE one or possibly two.

My wife, a veteran of the Beta, is so upset she is considering packing up and leaving. This from a woman who compared everything to how UO was/is? For me it is my first expansion and I have never seen anything so badly handled. Chrissay or someone has to answer the questions I suspect if I call EA I will be a year or two older before I get someone to answer the questions that should have been answered and dealt with, at the very least, weeks ago.

IF someone from EA MYthic is reading the boards and they are not responding , shame on you, you would seem to want people to not buy it and to leave.

It's already the 9th here, has been for the last 34 minutes.

One thing they need to fix is on the 'enhanced' client when the thing goes down for maintenance as it is now they need a 'message' or something otherwise you press 'login' and nothing happens and you think the thing is broken, actually had to load up 2d to 'see' if I could enter with that to get the actual 'message' that the servers were down.

Anyways, I can't be bothered waiting up any longer for the thing, so am going to bed. We always end up getting everything late even tho we are a day in front as by the time the collective 'act' gets itself together 'us' red headed stepchildren in Australia need to go to bed.

I live for the day when someone actually 'caters to us' for just ONE time. Sure we are a minority so don't expect 'favours' but just ONCE in a millenium would be nice.

I just bought 4 codes for 4 accounts, and got the 4 promo codes too, and I´m living Europe. :)

Yes, I'm happy they're selling this stuff for third world currency too. No way they'll do me the "$ = €" joke or "your VAT multiplies the price by ten". :thumbup:

Aye! Tbh that´s quite impertinent! I mean, IF they at least would look at the actual currency course and adjust their € prices, that would be ok, but to magically change the $ sign into a €.... well that just sucks!

I bought two codes. If they had offered a discounted 5-pak, I would have upgraded ALL my accounts. As it is, I decided not to bother to upgrade 3 of my mule accounts.

I'm sure it is in your power [UO Herald] to put this on the patch window where it can do more good. Be nice to see things of now importance there, then to see nothing new on the window for 4 months or more at a time.

What I said is that you can *Ping* them.

Open a command window (Dos window) and type this:

Ping (servername).owo.com as an example -> Ping sonoma.owo.com

That is the server for the Sonoma shard.

The patch server is compassion so ..... Ping compassion.owo.com

The login server is login .... so Ping login.owo.com

PS - You can also use UOTrace for this too (just click *no* to download the server list as it doesn't exist)

you know... I deceided to open up my UO account because today is maintainance day for World of Warcraft. I had no idea that SI was coming out, however I have been talking about opening my UO account back up when it did... so that was a nice surprise.

What a shocker to find out that both games would be down at the same time :p Regardless I'm all patched up and ready to play and am really looking forward to getting back into UO for a little...

*sigh* If you don't like it, then leave! Everything can't ALWAYS be perfect to your tastes so either get over it or quit! I hate it when people whine and threaten to quit. It's LAME! This is a game...not your wedding preparations and like the other person said...no one shot your dog. There are going to be issues. Every online game has them eventually and no one is perfect. Just enjoy the fact that they put in so much time and effort to keep our game going and even enhance it! I personally am grateful for that!
Ok my ranting is over, now back to playing!:twak:
