Eh, it was a typo; it doesn't count. Typos are forgivable. Obvious misspellings aren't. Granted the entire concept of having a right and wrong spelling in English is a joke, since it's a cesspool-composite of every language in the world with bastardized-derivates from other languages galore. Not to mention that a word is defined and continually re-defined by the way it's used.

I used to call terathans "tetherans", because I misread the name and it stuck in my head. My husband thought that was funny the first time I said it out loud. And Hyth-uh-loth. I've gotten in debates with people if it's "mine-ock" or "min-ock" (its the second!) and if regs is pronounced "reegs" or "regs" (again its the second!) Their reasoning was it was rea-agents so it should be reegs but I think that sounds dumb.

Oh, and I know it's wrong but I pronounce it "kray-ken" not "crack-en". It just sounds better to me. Also "mee-lee" is apparently correct but I prefer "may-lay". "Mee-lee" sounds like old, wormy flour.
