Well EA Corp. is here in Calif. USA and it is 16:43 PST 9/07/09 so I wouldn't hold my breath.

EA/Mythic I believe is located in Fairfax, VA? And it's only 7:50pm here
You are right Mythic is in Fairfax. So maybe for me 5am. Who know what the higher ups at EA will do. Maybe they want to be up and have thier coffee before letting it lose. Only EA or EA/Mythic can really answer this.

A lot of global companies use GMT as a standard.
I was not aware of that. GMT would be nice but somehow I doubt they'll be using that as the official release time. I'm betting it won't be on the site until tomorrow morning when they come into the office after a long weekend and have had that first cup of coffee and a doughnut.
Because when you run a game across multiple time zones, it makes sense to tailor your service to those time zones? Not that I expect it happen, mind, but I'm always happy to be pleasantly surprised!
I can't actually stay awake any more now; it's 1.35am here and I have to get up to get the kids off to school. I was kinda hopin' to have it ready to log into when they're gone in the morning, but no such luck, I guess

Don't say bad things to loud , they still can cancel it....
While I understand what you're saying, in this case it just doesn't make sense. For a company with most of it's staff (for this game at least) on the east coast of the US, it seems to me they would use that time zone to coincide with having people at their desks to handle the problems that will happen during launch.Because when you run a game across multiple time zones, it makes sense to tailor your service to those time zones? My issue with this is that EA doesn't seem to give to rats butts about this...I go to the EA site and there is not a damn thing about the SA expansion - nothing....I'm okay with not being able to buy it right away (I am at work) but they should be promoting how big this is and what a great expansion...
Mythic deserves more support from EA than this...
