Honor Virtue last dot : it never fills ??

Alright, I have been spending time at Trasher's to get the Honor Virtue up as a tamer.

Over days I got up to the last but one dot of Follower and, I assume, only filling that one last dot keeps me from getting Knight of Honor.

Well, so far I must have honored some 50-60 trashers if not more and the last dot still not fills up.

I do get the message I gain in Honor but nothing happens as getting to Knight of Honor.

Is it a bug ? Is the last dot incredibly deep to fill that it takes who kinows what how many kills?

Just for fun, I do keep honoring things and I keep on getting the message of gaining, but I suspect as has been stated by others that once your Knight of, you will always get that message but you do not really gain anything.

Out of curiosity, since that dot is VERY deep to fill, does it then pay back when one honors oneself to tame ?

That is, if one has reached Knight and honors oneself for a tame, how much honor gets lost for that one use ?

I hope it is ONLY that last dot that gets used up since it looks so deep..........

I seem to remember the one time I used it while a Knight it was nearly 5(?) minutes of Honor Duration.

Knight of Honor is not something I go out and deliberately seek as the Follower will get the job done. On the other hand if I am just fooling around I will do the Honor thing regardless.

You mean, one simple use of Honoring oneself and the whole knight level is wiped out ?
That is, all of the 10 blue dots that make the whole level ?

Wow, that sucks big time then.....

I mean, 5 minutes is way more than plenty.

The usage time of honring oneself should be controllable by the player who should be in control of when to start and when to stop using up dots.

I mean, I need to honor myself of a minute or 2 but have to wipe out all of the 5 minutes ?

Makes no sense whatsoever.

If you haven't worked the honor up until it says you've gained the highest level and can gain no further, it will drop you're honor title from knight back to follower and you'll have that last dot to fill again. I've gotten two uses when it says can gain no further, least on my fighter and fighter/tamer that I've taken to that point. 5 minute duration of honor. Can do a lot in that time.

I don't use honor on the fighter/tamer anymore, even though it raises the quickest for him, it's still very slow compared to the speed that the plain fighter gains at. I try to keep several dots in the follower level on the two tamers I use for taming stuff. I raises easiest at the low side of the level, and it had a decent duration so that's what I use for everday honor taming.

there is no "Knight level" per se. Knight is just that last filled dot. as soon as you invoke Honor, you lose honor and are no longer at Knight level. I've only done it once, and I didn't take note of exactly how much I lost, but it was something like five or six dots. however, Knight honor, when you invoke it, does last for around five minutes. it is more than enough time to do pretty much anything you need. I used it to collect threads of thought in Maginicia to make a Cloak of Power

Lots and lots of time at Thrashers. Take one pet. I find my dog works best for me. It goes fairly quick up to follower, then starts slowing as you gain higher. It is quite possible for him to have done it.

Oh, I would second that.

White Wyrms can get you from 0 to 4th or 5th Bubble in Follower in about 3 hours.

A Greater Dragon down in the Balron room in Fan Dancers DoJo will do it easily.

I use a Greater Dragon on Thrasher, again 0 to 7 or 8 of Follower in under 4 hours.

When I posted asking for informations on where to train Honor Virtue I was already a follower having done it over time at Swoop.

So, I was seeking places for advancing from follower to knight which is 1 level.
And I have not even yet done it all......

The last dot of Honor can take up to 75 Succubus to fill it. I went from 0 to Full honor in 2.5 days on my disco character casting EV's, my Tamer was a little longer using a CU but not much. So it is possible. (Only did it for 3 hrs at a pop max each time)

So, using the Honor Virtue wipes up ONE and one only dot or wipes 10 of them all at once when being a Knight of Honor in exchange for 5 minutes of safety among MOBs ?

I am confused as to which is which.

It is also a known fact that using pets and summons to gain honor does not give you as much honor from the kill as if you melee it on a dexxer. I have acutally knighted honor on my tamer, my bard, and my dexxer pretty much on balrons and it takes about 2-3x as many to get that last dot to Knight on a tamer or discord bard using evs. So it might take 50 balrons to fill final dot on a tamer or bard as opposed to 15-25 on a meleer. Using it at knight will almost always cost you that final dot but you will not lose the entire path.

Think of being knight of honor as hitting 100. When you use honor on yourself it knocks you back to 99. But there is no display for 100, there is just a display that shows you are at 99+ (all the dots are filled and you have the title).

You only lose one dot at a time, I believe.

Start at 3 minutes and work down as you lose dots and 3 minutes is a long time for taming things.

You just need to be attentive to the color of mobs around you, or if in the Enhance Client then being targeted OR you need to pay attention to the message that Honor has worn off and take IMMEDIATE ACTION or else ....

When it is really bad is when you finally get that Tame started, you can feel it in your bones, this is the tame cycle that will succeed. Your so very close to the cycle ending and you get the message, you are no longer embracing Honor. And a lot of things go Grey, including the mob your taming
