I was wondering if anyone accually knew what pack instincts do for your pets? Whether it varys pet by pet or if there is somekind of formula. Thanks!

I am no authority on Pack Instincts as I do not use them deliberately.

My understanding is that each additional member, with the same Pact Instinct will increase the amount of damage done by every member of the pact.

As an example that is not based on any known by me reality.

Mob A is of a Pact Instinct and does, for simplicity sake, 20 damage, when another member is added then each members damage is increased by say 20% or now become 24, 3 = 29(roundup), 4 = 35 (roundup), 5 = 42. So the pack may be doing 210 damage per 5 seconds.

I have never seen anything authoritatively when Magic Attacks are involved, i.e. does the damage done by any particular spell increase the same way the melee damage does or is it purely melee damage that is increased.

Pack Instincts
If you have at least 2 pets with the same pack instinct under your control, each of those pets gets a bonus to their damage, including spell damage. Use Animal Lore to determine what pack instincts your pet has. Some typical pack instincts are: Arachnid, Canine, Feline, and Ostard.

Pets in Pack Damage Bonus
2 +25%
3 +50%
4 +75%
5 +100%

They can be very nasty. Especially if the target has a weak fire resist.

Stayin Alive,

BG
you wanna kill things with low fire resist.... and use pack instincts.
use 2 fire steeds.
they use pack instincts and hit in fire HUGE.

and ya, a pack of trained ozzies chainsaw everything.

down side, they die to one wither from a boss.
so a huge downside to them.

but fun none the less.
