Poor OU, I hope Sam Bradford is not hurt for long, although he landed hard on that shoulder i could hear the crunch through the T.V.
We've already seen what happens when OSU runs into the SEC or Big 12. I LOVE to watch OSU get embarrassed on the big stage though so I say, bring it on!God help them if they have to face Bama or Florida's D in a bowl game

Yep was a good day; I sure feel better about our qb situation now. That was a hell of a team to break a new guy in on. It is my completely biased opinion that Alabama should be ranked #3 after last night's win over #7 VT. That was a very entertaining opener with so many lead changes.
We've already seen what happens when OSU runs into the SEC or Big 12. I LOVE to watch OSU get embarrassed on the big stage though so I say, bring it on!
I said I was partial to Ohio State, I never said I was, deluded ! HAHA

Some thoughts on the first weekend:
Oregon - ouch, on so many levels.
Big Ten didn't look that strong (OSU & Iowa), but they got the wins and that's what counts.
Georgia - Offense didn't look impressive at all.
Alabama - Defense looked really good.
Oklahoma - Ouch....
Mid Major's looked good (Boise St & BYU).
Ole Miss (watching this now) - struggled at first but then put away Memphis. I still think these guys are overrated.
Cal looked strong.
Washington came to play. But they did that last year, they just gave up halfway through the season.
UCLA looked good, but it's easy to look good against a mid major team that was 2-10 last year.
Too many scrub games to tell how good most other teams are (FL, USC, Texas, etc).

Thoughts on the upcoming games?
FL State/Miami - All I can say is how the mighty have fallen. I remember watching these labor day FL St/Miami games when they were practically the game the year earlier this decade. Now, I'll watch the game cause nothing else is on, but how the mighty have fallen.
Next week not many big matchups.
Obviously the big one, USC/OSU - and I don't think OSU has a chance (ok, well maybe like a 10% chance).
Michigan/ND - Two teams I love to root against so who to root against more? Guess I'll pull for Michigan since I think ND is perennially over-rated.
UCLA/Tennessee - As much as I'd like to say UCLA will win, I think homefield advantage will be too much for a young UCLA team and will be the factor in a Tennessee win - but if they can get past that they could pull it out.
Other than that, not many intriguing games. Ohh, Oregon/Purdue - I hope the Oregon offense shows up.

And soccer is just plain boring, watching or playing. Just not enough scoring. Any game that regularly ends in a 0-0 tie is a snooze-fest.

to do what they 'often' have done with USC.......
OSU helmets full of grass astro turf, face planted on the field, to USC.
I do not expect they will let me down, by doing something shocking, amazing, like winning over USC. Victory happens some times over the ages for OSU wins, but, I usually expect EPIC fail normally from OSU, whenever they play USC !

Yes all they do is go around in 500 laps of circles, but dang nothing beats a 5 car pile up of thousands of dollars flying all over the place wrecking their own or others cars. So long as they can walk away from it ok, it's all good !
I always watch winter olympics downhill skiing, bobsled, hockey & some speed skating, but that is about it for winter olympics sports.
Some sports are better *playing* than watching on the tv, though.
I can't stand to watch tennis, for example, cuz I'd rather get out and go laub a few balls playing tennis !

That won't work for me either.
When I set up a table that big, it ends up a place to put up my train sets.
I can not help that though. I got the darn bride doll which I hated when I was a kid cuz I was a girl always got stuck with dolls for gifts. My brother got all the spiffy train sets, cuz he was the boy.
I own all his train sets cuz...he never come help me move all the stuff out of our parents house when they passed away years ago...soo I told him jokingly, if you don't help big sister move all their stuff, Ima gonna steal all your train sets ! The lil bro didn't come help me one bit... sooo...
those train sets remain, MINE ALL MINE in MY house, and yes they still all work too.
