Don't forget its on the same night the events are. So let's say you crash...
That's never happened at an event. (Actually a bunch of people already came here talking about it)
Then, you have to reload the client and that's it for you. One guy said he loaded it in 7 mins. I thought that was funny. An hour or two later you log back on. I'm sure your corpse hasn't decayed in that time, right.
One of our fine ea reps came and told us to just load the client straight. That was an excellent idea honestly, but who's going to see that before their corpse is gone?
I wonder how much stuff was lost tonight because of that one thing. It's like the pictures of the tree swing from concept to being created by the engineers and then installed. Giving us the patch as soon as possible was a great idea, it just didn't work well in actual practice.
We love you dev guys anyway... Thanks for trying.

Just cancel the patch and the game loads like normal. Shesh....
I for one am really happy as i know the patcher will be overwhelmed come Tuesday morning and the last thing i want after buying my token is to not be able to use it.

I don't know what's going on with my download because it should normally have only taken me 15-20 minutes to do 300MB but it's been over a couple hours now!
I was doing a champ spawn and figured the reds that came in were running something foolish due to getting kicked as soon as they showed on my screen. Now, it's been 17minutes and I still don't have the whole thing downloaded. Wonder if they are done dancing on my corpse and moved on to the champ yet.?.?

They should have split it in several smaller bits. The way the patcher works, it'll clog up in a system folder and won't patch for players with old computers and not enough disk space available. :/

Those of us who have been keeping up with the New Client downloads have been dealing with huge downloads also. I dont even want to consider having to patch the New Client again if I lost it before the 8th.
And to your other point, you are downloading low quality porn is under 300 mb LOL.
First off, if anyone had any brains, they'd of patched well before jumping on the game, or hit the cancel button.
I know, I know....."we were busy...."....."we were out..." .........no excuses , take the time, and do it right.
My patch was less than 5 minutes.........clean your machine, maybe it's all that porn you mentioned.
