Or that the LB trademark was sold to EA under the condition that it not be used except in past usage.

Some of you might want to jump over there and defend UO against the WOW-obsessed, as well.

After all, the UO style of gameplay is about as foreign to the typical WoWer as fiscal restraint is to a Washington politician.

"Gargoyles are the first class added in 7 or 8 years" Really? I've only played 7 years and that was when AOS came out. I'm pretty sure Elves were NOT part of AOS. Elves are only about 5 years old tops.

I like how he falls on his sword with the KR client. Its true - but I don't think its as much of people wanting to play the old graphics but how bad the graphics and gameplay was with KR. I'd switch - but make it decent - not an art majors project.

I also think the screen shots and stuff they showed were not the best and they really should have shown housing. Alot of games don't have housing. That is one of the best features of UO.

Clearly not the best marketing here.

WoW is a grind. It is fun, I had fun playing but it was really not nearly as good (imo of course) as UO gameplay wise. In UO you can grind your characters or you can enjoy the game, both will get your skills up, it also has a unique skill system.

The LB thing made me angry as did the horrible debauchery of the whole time line of expansions... and I for one totally agree I don't want them to change the graphics one bit... and If its actually true that I can use the new client with the same graphics I know and love I might consider giving it a honest try... but I doubt it...

Actually the elven race art work was in Ultima Online before ML was even thought of. So technically he is correct.

Did you notice who looks like a professional and knows how to run a business and who looks like they still live with their mom and probably programs from his bedroom or maybe a dungeon basement.

They could have shown off a better aspect of the new client. With what they show cased I would have laughed at UO. Great marketing! We are doomed with whoever failed Marketing but got a job with these guys.

Ok, I'll agree here. I looked it up and release date was Aug 30, 2005. So yes, it just passed 4 years.

I still disagree that its been 7-8 years since a new race was added as clearly the release notes for ML say :

And I do agree he could at least have worn a button down shirt and looked presentable. If you are the oldest and most mature MMO - please look the part. Embarassing.
