SA & UOAM

The last time the changed the map It didn't work either, but soon after a guild member got it to work though his uber Geek skills. You had to down load a editor program and enter some hex numbers in to UOAM and it works. I'm guessing someone will do it again when SA comes out.

If EA can build something for the Enhanced client that mirrors UOAM's capabilities, I really hope that the function that makes you show up on someone else's map is something you can toggle on and off voluntarily.

I trust the people I play with and don't care if they see where I am at all times. However, in some large guilds, I'm sure there are situations where you do not necessarily want EVERYONE in the guild to know where you are at every single moment.

And showing only party members isn't ideal either if you are often in a situation where people need to find you first before they can join the party! That is the kind of situation where UOAM really sings....showing you where someone else is so you can catch up to them, whether or not you are partied or in the same guild or alliance.

We are trying to include a lot of the features that these programs give to 2d users.
In other words you guys will not attempt to get it up dated because you are attempting to phase out the 2D client.

Good luck with that concept. That isn't going to happen and you know it.
Get over your hang ups with the 2D client and keep the 2D client up dated.


Give us a larger view screen and ask Steve (fixed thanks Kri) to update UOAM.. stop screwing around.

I noticed you post this in another thread... who is Greg? The programmer responsible for UOAM was Steve Blanding. You can see his final message indicating he will not update the program or turn over the source code here: http://uoam.net/

I know that he is not going to up date it.

But UOAM has value to EA games... buy it from him.

The whole idea of having to play uo with 3rd party programs like uoassist and uoam is ridiculous, you don't switch on an x-box then plug in 2 other random things from other companies in order to play the game, i like how the 3d sa is phasing out uo assist by trying to allow players to make macros, however they should have just incorporated uoam into uo, the whole idea of uoassist is absurd, all the features it offers should automatically be in the game, why the hell after 11 years can i still not save a macro on the number-pad in uo?

And yeah this is really annoying me, i've paid for the SA upgrade and uoam doesn't work with it. And as for the SA map, errrr, where am i? errrr where are you?

uhm.. who cares? i don't use the program and i'm able to play UO just fine. i've never used any programs other than ultima itself. there's just no need. so all this fussing over some third-party program is just silly.

Mitzlplik if you go over to the Fishing and Treasure Hunting boards they have the treasure spots already mapped out for the SA client.
I added them to my file and it worked great:thumbup:
