Illsh SoT Drops

Ok started doing the Illsh spawns on several of my characters. I know SoT's drop because I got one .2 Magery...but I have done many of these spawns and gotten no others. I could care less what skill its for as I just like to find a goodie in my pack. I seem to remember 105 scrolls dropping like candy in Fel.

Whats the deal? I do have a major problem getting boss rights with any toon other than my tamer or archer but I thought by now there would be a more SoTs.

And dont get me started on replicas. Do they even drop from Illsh mobs?
Do you get more SoT's from spawn waves or boss?

Fel has always had a higher drop rate. My recommendation is go to fel with all your items uninsured with a pack full of valuables. Try despise, rinse and repeat.

Everytime I get SOTs, I get them from the lvl 1 spawn. If I get there right when the champ resets, I seem to get an SOT every time.

If you want SOTs, be sure to get there at the beginning and focus on killing as many lvl 1 spawn as possible, as quickly as possible. If you want replicas, you'll need to stay for the entire champ, beginning to end.

I've done five full champs in Ilsh and have gotten nothing, no SoT's no Replicas, I'm about to try fel soon, with all my stuff insured of course lol.

You will have no luck trust me. Try the uninsured, you will get all the uber items. Repeat after me....U B E R.

What sort of character are you using? I'd strongly recommend an AOEer -- either a necro witherer, weaving essence of winder, or sampire with a soul seeker and whirlwind, something like that. I've found that it seems to take forever between SoT drops when I'm on my disco tamer or ABC archer, but they seem to just keep coming when I'm whirlwinding or withering.

That's what I do. I work my 20 pixel butt off to get enough loot of value to take with me, and my only regret is that I can't do it more often.

I will insure thanks. And I would never go to Fel unless I was sure we would have super numerical superiority (which never used to happen on Atlantic) to beat the speedhacking/scriptusing "uber" reds that inhabit the spawn areas. I am glad to hear they nixed ghost cams. However, I am confident the cheaters will prevail no matter what.

Man, we've done 50 and not gotten anything before. 5 is nothing. If you want SOT's make sure you are visible. I agree its first few levels of spawn that we get the most of them, besides almost all of them are useless. --> at bag with 100 useless SOT's and maybe 5-6 good ones.

Ha I am more casual these days, had this been during highschool a few years ago, I would have been there with 50 like you lol. Looks like I need to get my sampire done. Rat spawn in Ilsh or Fel.

If you're farming just for SoTs with a sampire, you don't want to do the rat spawn. The slimes will eat through your weapon's durability really fast. The best spawns are the one with the scorpions and the one with the lizardmen. I also like the Abyss spawn for the first couple of levels, but you have to remember to pop evasion when you get around a lot of imps or you can go down fast.

Well I'll also be looking for replicas with my sampire (as well as peerless and doom). You are right about the slimes, I totally forgot about that, but I think I can stock up on Soul Seekers for that.

Once I finish I will try out the Arachnid and Cold Blood, thanks for the advice.

Ahh, well, if you're doing them all the way through, then yeah, the rat spawn is the best one. ;) I was just talking SoT farming for the first couple of levels. Sampires have a hard time with the various dragons in the later levels of Cold Blood; not sure how the arachnid one would be, but I seem to remember the Champ being a problem for my sampire for some reason.

Ah ok, still some useful info. Yes I can see how the dragons can be problematic. Again, thanks for the info. I am trying to gather as much info about sampires as I can while training mine up.

Basically there are two things you want to be wary of as a sampire: firebreath and blood oath. If you get half a dozen bone mages blood oathing you (like in the undead spawn), you can one-hit yourself. It's fun to do.

Haha yeah depending on what I am fighting I will switch my 100 anatomy with my 100 resist spells on a souls stone. Seems like a good idea to me.
