MOBs' Fame actual Points : where is this info ?

I was having a look at Stratics' Hunters Guide and noticed that while some of the MOBs do have the actual points of Fame indicated (a balron for example having 24,000), some others do not. Some are only listed as Level 5 Fame, for example, or even have an "unknown" note.

Animal Lore does not show the actual Fame points, does it ?

Therefore, where can these points be found at ?

If some monsters have them listed it means somewhere they can be found.

Perhaps with inside UO ? Looking at some UO files ? Else ?

Thanks but it seems not complete.

cannot see, for example, MOBs like Swoops, Miasma, Trasher, Yamadon, Oni in that Bestiary only to name a few.....

Even run a search and could not find them.

Understand, but never know, sometimes there are Fan sites which are filled with informations so, who knows, perhaps these informations are somewhere else besides Stratics or the PlayGuide ?

Who knows.....

If there is out there third party software that can read the data stream perhaps that software can also have access to any and all informations about the game, included the Fame points of all monsters ? Just wondering.

Of course, even if there was one, I'd stay away from it. Probably it is just better to wait that they update the Official PlayerGuide.......

Just hope I don't have to wait too many years more, I mean, how many years are Cu Sidhes old ?

But, while MOBs as old as the Cu Sidhe are not in the list, we are getting Stygian Abyss informations.

I'm doing the best I can with the hunter's guide, and the rest of uo.stratics, but I can't include information I have no access to.

It could best be described as a relative rating system. The numbers are meaningless except for comparing 2 mobs, ie. mob A gives more fame than mob B, but it really doesn't give accurate point info.

The difficulty ratings should give you just an idea what will await you. A 9'' rating isn't was it used to be. Nowadays it doesn't mean 'hard to kill' but 'if you're not careful, it will kill you easily'. But getting the Fame and Karma adjusted would be fine. Maybe the Fame/Karma table of the previous Dev team can be found somewhere in a dusty drawer.

I was happy to see that the Stratic's Plus information is now(?) available for anyone. Thank you very much for this.

You know that won't work as much as you know about uo.

Because after you go past 10k you can't tell anything else because there isn't another tier. Popps, the truth is no one knows anymore. In the old days some rogue folks used to abuse their God powers so quite a bit was known about fame levels. But, that was a loong time ago, so the new mobs fame isn't known except for the info posted on stratics.

Here's all you really need to know. Demons suck, ice fiends are great. Ice fiends take you to around 18k and you can do anything you want in the game with fame & karma like that. You can die several times and not lose Lord, and you have enough karma to do anything Paladin-wise.

If you want a whole bunch of fame and karma then either kill Miasma, the Swoop or the named mobs in Bedlam. You can do it with Balrons, but the Balron spawns are more difficult to work with imo. The mobs will take you to 24,000 appx and since Lord is 10k it will never matter.

Good idea, I'll get started on that.

Don't forget to include the named bunny down in the 8th level of Destard. I think it gives you around Elevendybillion fame, but no karma.

This information should just be a simple print off for the Devs. Use your connections and ask or does Stratics still suffer from its early days of being abused by EA? They love to use this site as a puppet perhaps it is time they help the player base located here.

Theres 4 in Hythloth & 1 in Terathan Keep & several (2-4) in Palace Of Paroxysmus' plus a named one called Putrifier which can also be a Parragon though you can't tell.

Sacrifice virtue will wipe your fame. It can be used once a day to gain in the virtue.

Every once in a while you do hit on a good point which is worthy of bringing up.

In this case, it's that the uo.com playguide is in desperate need of a complete overhaul, both for accuracy's sake and consistancy's sake, and needs someone who will update the guide with each patch.

There are quite a few playguide pages there with either inconsistant information (i.e. fame levels for monsters, which haven't been updated it seems since pre-SA) or just incorrect information (i.e. the spellweaving page is very nearly 100% wrong).

As for your original information, there's no way of telling besides relying on other player's experiences.

As for your "guess" that swoop fame is too low, you are absolutely wrong. Swoop has the max fame for any non champion/peerless monster.

Now, that is interesting.....

If it is as you say, and Swoop has a very high Fame (at least as high as that of a Succubus or Balron ?), then why many players report this creature as only being of use to raise the Honor Virtue to Follower, not beyond that ?

I hate sounding polemic but the thing is that the PlayGuide and players' info, advice that the Honor Virtue gains depend on the Fame of the monster honored and some other rules like standing close and so forth.

The PlayGuide states :

The amount of Honor you gain from defeating your opponent is determined by how closely you followed the above guidelines for honorable combat, as well as your opponent's level of fame.

Now, If Swoop has a very high Fame, how come it does not help much for gaining Honor and a Succubus or a Balron are of considerable more help ??

Something here does not really add up to me.
