Is Bushido good for a PVP Archer, and is 120 resist a must or is GM sufficient??

I hear conflicting opinions on it alot..........

My temp is gonna look like this:

120 Arch
120 Bush
115 Tacs
90 Heal
90 Anat

165 Skill points remaining for either 120 resist and 45 chiv or 100 resist and 65 chiv.....

Get a hunters headdress and that will free up 20 more skill points for 120 resist and 65 chiv.

You can get HLD on your weapons, especially with imbuing coming out. Or you could have someone imbue you a ring and brace set that has +skill points. I prefer the spirit of the totem over the hld glasses for pvp for the strength bonus. You are going to want 120 resist though.

I agree with the 120 or nothing. Most of my chars have 120, but i have a bush pally axer with 0. It's a matter of matching chars with opponents. You can kill Misama, for example with 0 resist, but a high-level mage monster can be a problem. It effects you in ways you wouldn't think about too. Every curse lasts forever, and takes the max from you. Things you wouldn't even notice on 120 are a real problem at 0. You can always use remove curse though.

my ABC archer is used for pvp, he is:

120 arch
120 bush
120 tact
100 med
100 heal
100 anat
60 chiv

Lightning strike and confidence?

Just drop bush and take meditation... Keep shooting max dmg AI every shot instead of hoping 1/4 of hits being critical...

Magic resist isn't even really needed. With the pots and a trap box magic resist is really worthless. I had it on most of my characters and I removed it and replaced it with more sufficient skill.

Evasion doesn't work with bows. Just in case you didn't know.

As others have said Resist is either 120 or 0 for PvP.

I always have 120.

If it were me, I'd go either:

120 Archery
90 Tactics
120 Bushido
120 Resist
100 Heal
100 Anat
70 Chiv

or forget Chiv altogether and have 6x 120. I usually only have Chiv (of at least 65) for Sacred Journey. So it sort of depends on wether you're solely for PvP or if you're spawning as well.

Lots of people use Bushido dexxers for the Lesser Hiryus & Confidense. Plus LS & Perfection for PvM. The other option is Ninjitsu, with Balanced bows you can have ranged poison and Animal Form/Images when dismounted.

It is actually 20% chance at legendary to land a critical hit.

You will have to determine your own playstyle. That said, bushido is a balanced to defensive type template in PvP. It is not especially overpowering like it is in PvM work.

If you do ANY PvM you might want to consider some resist. If you plan on doing a lot of PvP'ing your template and style will dictate.

As things stand now, it is 120 or nothing. No in between for PvP. Even 115 resist is enough to get paralyzed for about half a second. It is long enough to get rocked.
