ah ok, what i think it is, is there may be a new way to get resources coming up, gravedigging. i didnt get a chance to check it in the open beta tho. I think some of the new reags might be acquired this way.

So they replace bounty with this system, if you kill a red and burry him you get a undertaker reward

Kill em and bury them on the spot? Sounds cool! The red should lose double skill points if the trammie has time to give them a nice burial.

I think the "grave digging" reference is one of the sub-parts that you do for Grizelda the Hag's quest. She sends you off to get 5 bones dug up from hollowed ground.

They also used grave digging in the quest to rescue Casca, its possible its part of other quests in the expansion too.

would be a dry and dusty affair then i think

Would be nice to be able to dig up bodies and animate them with the necro spell and make them your zombies and they follow/fight for you.

Or possibly use the grave robbing to get specific bones for the bone armor?

But, seriously, it's been in there since KR was released, and a dev said back then it was for the Griselda the Hag / "The Witch's Apprentice" quest.

OF course, given the U6 significance it would be interesting to have it do more.
