A play on the worlds of "NEW Two". I was considering giving players who have left NEW and established a bit a place to learn PvP skills mostly against each other. Anyone think this may work?

Only if they carry a bag of sending and 20K gold each, and the meetings are open to the public.

They'd learn fast.

I'd like for it to work Speedy. I just don't know if it will around here right now.

When I was in NEW we also had some few folks forming GON graduates of NEW which probably could have lasted longer as a guild had not some of those folks left UO for one reason or another thus left Siege back then if memory serves. (all rules for NEW were not on the GON cuz well they no longer were NEW so none of those rules had to apply to them ..if I recall, no longer NEWs but grads of NEW, so full citizenship guild with it's own rules).

A form of post grad new guild could work again here be it pvp or whatevers, if someone is dedicated to lead such a crew and train em up further esp. for peeveepee not my thing any more, but surely is for lots of folks here. :) And such a guild could serve as some crossover guild too, cuz some folks graduate NEW and have yet not been guilded nor quite yet know who's guilds they may fit in with yet...or be accepted into yet so they oft go guildless for a spell some of em.. unless they form their own guild.

That is to some degree what I wanted to do. Many graduates of NEW leave around 90 skill level, which is not really play ready. I'd like to give them 2 more weeks or so of protection, allowing them to finish skills and find a guild.

I would love to get in some practice against some people around my same skill level. Its hard while your in the 80-90 area to compeat against some of the vets that run around.....pm me and if this is still something that you want to do and i can tell everyone in NEW about it

I only want 4-6 players a month, at the end of that month a tourney will be held in which the winner of the group wins a prize. I won't let tamers compete.

I tried this with GoN (grads of new) about 4-5 years ago, and it was doing very well for a while. They were allowed to initiate attacks, against known attackers, so some restrictions they had in NEW were removed. I had one of my alts as gm for a bit and passed it over to the member I thought could lead the others (I didn't have the time or inclination to run both permanently) but after a couple of months the guy flew the coop never to return, and we couldn't retrieve the stone from his house. (we still used the guildstones at that time)

If you spent time with them showing the ropes I'm sure it would be popular.

Yeh and we never did know wtheck happened to him, but he lent a whole new meaning to GoN :( cuz he went gone...guild stone and all.

Least he coulda done was pass the guild & guildstone off to one of the other guys.

Oh well the potential is there should OP wish to begin some other sort of betweener guild. I think it would be a success, provided Siege keeps getting some ...........new blood. :)
