Let's face it, the Doom artifacts are showing their age, and to be honest, some of them already were out of fashion leaving the gate. To throw insult to injury, there's minor artifacts that eclipse the major artifacts.
Let's throw out some suggestions for updating the artifacts, little ideas that may peak the interests of the devs if they do ever look into improving some of the legacy systems again.
Here are my ideas for some updates to some of the more infamous artifacts, feel free to post your own:
AEgis - increase the defense and reflect damage from 15% to 20%, and the LMC to an even 10%. the strength requirement of 90 is a considerable balance to the increase with the strength of curse spells nowadays.
Berserker's Maul - I think swing speed is capped at 60%, even though the artifact is 75%. even if it isn't, i think the maul could use another property, like hit lower attack, though only at 20-25%.
Bone Crusher - Ah, the infamous bone crusher. i suggest swing speed increase of 30-35%, which would better fill the strength requirement of 80.
Breath of the Dead - I would increase the hit harm to 40%, and the spell damage increase to 15% for aspiring necromancers.
Dragon Slayer - increase the luck from 110 to 175, and change it to a reptile slayer.
Gauntlets of Nobility - increase the damage increase from 20% to 50%.
Holy Knight's Breastplate - change the reflect damage 15% to defense chance increase 30%. the strength requirement of 95 is a good counterbalance.
Ornate Crown of the Harrower - increase the hitpoint and stamina regeneration to both 5, and add mage armor.
those are my suggestions for now.
