anyone else have really bad lag?

I generally have serious lag any time there is a major event going on. It gets worse as I get closer to the event. Last event I tried to participate in was the invasion of Moonglow. I didn't even get inside the fence and was lagged out so badly that I was killed by a passing mongbat and didn't even know it for some 3 minutes.

There always is more lag at such events than usual. However, I can move relatively well during such events. I find it funny that although my connection has to cross the Atlantic and I have a 140+ ping, I seem to have less lag than some American players..
