Love this event/invasion but goodness can something be done about the lag.. its been really bad to the point I can hardly take part without lag freezing til the end of the event..

Yes, don't play on the most crowded server.
Wasn't laggy on Legends last night. But logged on Atlantic and its like walking thru molasses.
Yeah, I gave-up and logged.
That makes me even more happy i play on a smaller shard.
Everyone wants to play the most crowded shards but on these days it shows why its not always a good thing .
On Drachs we had a big crowd in Luna fighting the monsters, but there whas still plenty of room to see and fight without too much trouble.

Um, I started on Atl 10 years ago. I'm not going to transfer to a piddly little shard because of a little lag, but yes, it is annoying. My history is rich, lag and all.That makes me even more happy i play on a smaller shard.

Its not towards to Vets. But towards the people that tells new players to go to the crowded shards to play. Sometimes shards can be too crowded.
So maybe instead pulling all players to one shards they might want to fill the smaller shards up a bit better.
We still trounced 'em...lag and all.

Sorry but should have said this was on Catskills and no shape or form do we have the population of Atlantic and yet there was alot of lag.
The lag was obserd. it was up there with the moonglow blackrock detector lagathon. EA, atlantic's server being able to not crash with 500+ people on the same screen is not a win, if the lag allows movment on our part once every 20 seconds. and server mobs: pets, summons, enemies can maul us in seconds. When the shadow fiends appeared today in luna about 80000 people died at once. while the players got a good tile per year escape.

I think on Drachenfels we're somewhat behind the schedule. We haven't experienced this Crimson Dragon assault yet (oops, spoiler). I guess this will choke our server too.

You mean ABSURD, and yes it was.
We had a sizable crowd on LA. I experienced a lot of lag and disconnects. Lost my bonded swampie after first disconnect/death. It was simply not around, not on my paperdoll, or in my stable. So even some of the smaller shards had lag problems.That makes me even more happy i play on a smaller shard.

I don't think that shard population was the issue. We had at least as many people at the various shadowlord manafestation appearances, but no where near the lag. I think the problem was that the event was held in Luna, with all the vendors and such.
It would go against the story arc to move the invasions away from Luna, but it sure would make playing more feasible.

Then again. i did look at that word for like a half hour thinking, whats wrong with that word? i battled with my self for what seemed like an eternity. should i copy and paste it in my google bar? but no. I let it slide. I should never have done that.
