Less cynically, it allows people to keep in touch with their network of friends efficiently without needing to IM/email/phone each and every person or keep a list of bookmarks to everyone's blogs.
Its for people who like spying on other people... reading every little thing they do.so...what is the interest of Facebook? somebody explain, pls
