Well it would end some new players here whom finally become a RED their braggin posting rights.

YA know we see it from time to time someone FINALLY makes their chr. RED and they just have to post HERE, that they are now a red and we are to FEAR THEM. I chuckle and think ...um I did that back in the day in 98 I had reds....you just now made one ??? UR SUCH A NOOB ! HEHE !
Personally I think it would just CONFUSE folks whom are somehow ingrained trained that IF they see a RED name they must hide or flee or kiss their arses goodbye when they see a RED name on Siege. And then some BLUE kills em and they get all confused. Personally I wish Richard Garriott would have come up with some better system of *recognition* than mere red blue hue to discern whom may be playing approaching us, evil or good or whatever, than the simplistic blue red hues alone in Ultima Online.
There are folks that RUN FLEE from every red name they see, and it is silly really...they should go by *guild tags* *players reps* something anything else besides a players hue alone. When I came here I was told about KSS, and VMP...and many a KSS chr. name was also RED. I seen folks new here flee from a Py Lethius just as often as they would flee from a WyRm name in red... like Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmm ?? HUE ALONE should never be some indicator of the *outcome* of encountering anyone in this game !
And as a CRAFTER here IF I fled every red hued name here I would never sell or make them a darn thing. I have NEVER and I say it again NEVER been pkd by anyone here playing a MURDERER when they were in business transactions at some bank with my crafters....I may make what they need...if I fled...every time I seen a RED name...when they may only be needing an arcane robe I may make or wanting their armor repaired or ordering up goza mats to fill their keep where would I be if I FLED REDs on Siege ??
THEY are all to be potential customers, I am a crafter here...if they are NOT in some business transaction wanting or asking for me to make em something...then chances are maybe....they might pk my chrs...OR NOT. I usually find out rather rapidly though if they are in customer mode or pk mode when they see my chrs. per given encounters.

Same with blue hued names I encounter here, just cuz they sport *blue hue* does not mean they are not gonna pk ya either esp. on Siege.
Hues of other players here are meaningless to ...my own self here. I could care less if someone is red or blue here...I go by their *rep* above all else here. But I do wish Richard Garriott would have come up with some other system besides *hue* to rightfully judge better or to discern auto recognition of players approaching any of us in game.
