The fiction implies Platinum Dragons which oppose the Crimson Dragons. They can also change into human form.

Baja had "shadow crows" and shadow wyrms (hope I'm remembering that right) and Origin had Shadowlord Manifestations. On Baja, the crows and wyrms were hanging out in the outermost section of Luna. On Origin, the SL manifestations were in the inner courtyard and a few seemed to be inside the bank building. I missed part of it because of a bad client crash. Lake Austin had nothing and no one was anywhere to be found in Luna when I checked it after leaving Baja and going to Origin. I think Sonoma's event was already done by the time I got there.
Edited to add: 8:40 pm Mountain Time: Lake Austin just had shadow fiend the unseen and shadow wyrms.

Any ideas how often the attacks take place or is it a one time deal?
Lake Austin Luna was invaded just before 9 p.m. CDT. Shadowmanifestions in bank, followed by shadowdragons and shadow fiends in the streets.
The website for the GL EM's said earlier today something to the effect that Luna would be attacked several more times this week. My guess is that the attacks will become more intense as the week wears on.
Yeah, seems like it just ended. Was fun while it lasted!

Hahaha oh yea... 1 hit kill area attacks are no good.
With your upbeat, positive attitude about everything, I certainly hope that Mythic remembers your name next time something nice like a beta test comes along. It's clearly easy to please you, and certainly they must be developing and running this game to meet your exacting standards.
Thank you for bringing that extra light of cheer to the boards.
I would be that the events are taking place during prime time hours for each shard or somewhere close to that.
Based on the different reports from each shard, it is clear that it is run by EMs. So, I can imagine that it only happens when a poor EM is online. Be patient!
LOL someoned told me an event was going on in luna on chesapeake, so i go there and i see a few Tormented Minotaurs being fought by tamers, i run up to it and die INSTANTLY, mind you i had a pretty good suit and such but without even hitting it, the area effect alone killed me, not only is the AOE on these monsters ridiculously strong but the range of it extends to about half a screen away haha, i stayed for 5 mins then threw in the towel
It was stated in the publish note of Publish 59 as follows:
"Cloaks of Silence will be available from the EMs" of each shard. So I understand that EA Japan UO team will deliver these Cloaks in their specific way on shards in Japan.
And we have another sub-story arc than US/EUR shards now.
I suppose the "Dawn epic" part of the event story arc would vary according to shards.
Is this understanding right? Then, Luna of shards in Japan won't get attacked.
And at which point will sub story arcs be confluent?
It would be very nice, if a dev clarified these things.
