Basic Cu Sidhe taming question

I have 103.4 taming (115 jeweled), 105 lore (110 with talisman) and am an elf now.

When I go to tame a Cu, it says "You can't tame that!"

What am I doing wrong!? lol Yes this is my FIRST TIME DOING THIS

You've tried to tame a cu that spawned from the champion spawn Sometimes they get mixed in with the tameable spawn. The tameable ones spawn in the desert/rock area just past swoop. Try taming another pup and see how you get on.
