I think this qualifies as "unintended consequences"I logged out while in a champ spawn to pull my dragon to me and got insta-teleported to a shrine.
Now when I get raided I can just logout and back in to escape!

Sometimes the suit is worth more, although I wonder if cursed arties hit the ground too, that would suck.
As for Trammish, c'mon, you guys are known to run faction runes, and I'm betting Dog was alone and outnumbered, the two reasons given for the use of the runes...

Trammish?You want to keep faction arties on sp and sell them too each other so you never lose suits and that's not trammish?Sounds like insurance to me...

Haven't suits always been sold back if they were good? sold back or, normally, kept in a chest?
They are supposed to drop to the ground after 10 minutes of being logged out there, to punish them. They will not drop before ten minutes to ensure that the user didnt just lose connection on bad ping rate.

Always? I have lost count of the number of suits and artifacts I have lost, not once has any been offered to be sold back. That courtesy appears to be reserved among faction people and their superman suits.

A couple things.
1) its not always the chaos shrine. It can be any shrine. It happens after the first 10 minutes. And you drop any cursed items gained during the spawn.
2) Factions sell back happens for a number of reasons. but mainly its because the faction items arent usable to any1 else any way. So once they have been taken the only value they have is to be sold back at a reasonable price. Other wise you can fill ur house uo with unusable crap.

Are you referring to Dog logging out and back in or to Hugi using faction runes?

Read the part after the first "?"...
i dont remember which champ i was at now. it was either despise, or the one near the dojo and I got teleported all the way to the shrine out past vesper. weird huh. I heard it only drops cursed items that you are not wearing but probably need to do some tests.

selling faction stuff back is our way of getting rewards for killing people, since we cant use their gear...
if you dont like it, they should let us sell the items to NPCs for silver
if you dont like it, they should let us sell the items to NPCs for silver
Would that be the same as me looting runic gear and redeeming it back to NPC's for a new barbed kit??

Before the items were not character specific so you had the choice to wear them or sell them to the highest bidder. Stop comparing apples to oranges.

Yeah cheapy is was way better before. You could cbd arties, faction suits were also blessed for 30 days, and lets not forget the ember legs and sammy helm being blessed too. Not to sure how much of those suits were lootable. Now you are atleast given the chance to loot and either sell the stuff back or trash can it. It is not like the stuff sells cheap. If the sell backs were cheap more people would be wearing it. Plus everyone has access to it. Stop your crying, the game has changed either get with the changes or go elsewhere. Damn son you need to grow a pair, take a risk, equip something more than garbage and try to kill people. The thrill of knowing what you could lose if you die, and still takin the risks is what pvp is all about.

That's not it at all, Hugi, I'm a stealth ninja so worrying about dying is just not something stealth ninja's do. If a stealth ninja doesnt want to die, he wont die, its as simple as that. We both know its the truth...but a stealth ninja who exploits bad game design is no better than someone who exploits bad idea to allow faction arties on siege.
Faction gear is a form of insurance, period.Second of all, the only people losing this war is non faction people, there items that they wear will not be tagged and sold to the highest bidder.Not too mention, not everyone likes to be in faction's so its forcing people to be in faction to pvp which is just lame.
No, actually if the killer could wear it he would keep it or sell it to the highest bidder...NOW you either sell it to who you killed or trash it...the first option gives the items back to the person you killed with him losing gold but he still keeps the items sorta sounds like insurance huh?
Now, the person that got killed has too do one of two things go farm silver (which most REAL PK'ers dont farm) or buy the items back or a secret three option , quit factions and be at a disadvantage...

Ok say they took out faction arties. Do you realize what would be left. Those that have the goldies to buy the best equipment will have a huge advantage over those who cant. Atleast the faction arties offer everyone (not just the ones with tons of gold) the chance to wear good gear. Sure you might need to farm up some silver but it isnt that hard. They have also cut the price in half of the high end pvp items, such as heart of loin etc.
Chard you talk like there is alot big buyers on this shard, that is just not true. You cant sell nice pieces of armor for more than 35k, so your highest bidder idea just crapped all over itself. If you actually played you would be able to see the going ons, and not just assume things are the same as they were.
Oh yeah and real pkers dont farm silver, no ****, hey meat they farm the farmers. DOH!!!!

Hugi, I was the the first to compare the faction rune to logging out, and I can see your comparison from bombs to runes. I forgot about the flag rule on runes as well. Point taken.
However, a faction rune takes you to a stronghold, leaving the assailant no chance whatsoever to reveal, whereas a stealther can be revealed if one knows what they are doing. There are pros and cons to either side, yes?
Hows earning your loot insurance? Oh because there's better and more loot to earn... my bad. rolleyes:
As a guild you can also strategically screw people who use it. Camp the known location of that player and when he uses it gank him there.
Nothing is 100% safe.
I think this shard would hugely benefit if Sacred Journey and things like could open gates. People should remember that before paladins, necros, sammys, ninjas... dexers and mages all pretty much ran magery for gate too... now it's just not right to limit it.

If you've done your homework you would be very aware that Cheapsuit is dead set against smoke bombs and refuse to use them just as he refuses to use faction gear.
You see with me its not just about winning and losing and having an advantage in pvp, its about a mixture of skill and creative thinking to make the game fun for EVERYONE, not just rich people and faction members.
Funny thing though...I'm so good at using the hiding skill (not proud of this) that people actually think I use smoke bombs, so I guess that could be a compliment.

IMO this is the biggest reason for the luna bank fights, people with no magery seem to hang around Luna looking for action because they dont want to spend time running from dungeon to dungeon. If people could get around better I think we would see more fights in spawn locations than Luna bank.
