Newcomer here! Few questions

Hello ppl. I have been playing Uo for about 6-7 years. I don't like pvp but i enjoy pvm and crafting a lot. I played on freeshards all these years long, never thought of playing on osi actually. but yesterday i decided to start to play on osi. and due to the good ms it showed, i chose europa. and i am planning to play for a long time

I got some questions.

do you like this server ? are the people good ?
is it too late to start playing on osi?
what is the best way to start making money? considering that i have nothing, what would be the best thing to do ?

Hello and welcome!

This server is the best there is. People on the boards are nice, and the people you meet ingame are as well. We have a few bad apples, but those are exceptions to the rule.

It`s never too late to play UO. And it`s not OSI, it`s EA/Mythic.

Best way to make money? If I am on a new server and in need of gold I buy a DC set for a dexer and hit the lizardmen and collect spined leather then sell those in deed at the bank to other players. If I have a better dexer something I might hit the drakes/wyverns and go for horned.

Some monsters drop near 1K in gold - if you kill fast you can rack up quite a few K in an hour. If you have invested in a bag of sending you can send the gold to your bankbox and keep on hunting.

I am not sure really - it all depends on what you like to do. There are so many ways to earn gold in UO.

Currently i am trying to increase my animal taming skill.

Bone is also a commodity most players would rather not spend time hunting for. Head to the Lord Oaks spawn in Ilsh and kill those shadow wisps. Make sure you have scissors in your pack and cut them up as you go.

Or kill anything that gives regular leather. With a Butcher`s war cleaver in your pack you don`t need to use scissors on the hide. It cuts up and is placed in your pack.

Again as a dexer - you can add mining to your template and hit the Orc Brutes to get both skill gains and shadow ore. You will need a better skilled one than with the Lizard men. Think 70 ish is the right skill there to gain. Orc Brutes - I am not sure.

Or - still a dexer with mining, buy a salvage bag and go kill orc lords. Smelt their armour and weapons. Best place for this is the Orc Fort southwest of Liche Forest in Yew. I still do that when I am tired of mining.

Depending on your price of course - there is always a market for resources. Check vendors in Luna, Umbra Road and Zento for where you should set your price.
