can someone tell me how to not loose my aids when i get killed
Closest I know of is to get a Bandage summoning talisman and keep it insured. When you die equip it and double click and will give you 10 aids to help get back to your body.can someone tell me how to not loose my aids when i get killed
Yes. If you create character back in 2003-4 and before.. newbie-fied not just applied to bandies.. also include regs and any start-up equipments 'born' with new chars.. I would say it's very useful for seige perilous/mugen, but may not for normal production shard as you can use insureAny chars you have created during the years where you were given newbie-fied equipment would have blessed bandies.

Insure a pair of scissors and if you cant cut the death robe, insure a robe.
That is an excellent tip tyvmAs has been said, an insured bandage summoning talisman is good, especially the one that summon red bandages, because those will work with the macro you use, if you use one. The green reversed ones won't.
Also work up 'sacrifice' virtue, when you rez using that all your items are restored to you without the need to loot your corpse at all. Downside is you can only use it a maximum of 3 times per week.
I found a pair of these sitting on the bank floor a few days ago. Talk about a jackpot. That's something you won't find every day.Healing also gave a pair of newbie-fied scissors
I found a pair in Haven a few months back. I didn't realize they were even blessed until I tried to sell some cloth and they didn't show up on the list of items for sale. Someone must not realize what they had while cleaning out the bank box of an old account.I found a pair of these sitting on the bank floor a few days ago. Talk about a jackpot. Ooooo, good tip!The quest that allows you to get spider silk to make the white silk cloth was a shady thing to do till they made it OK. Well continue the quest a step after the silk and that gets you a blessed aid you can bag to the bank and they stack. You can remove all but one of the stack. Real hardcore to go through this method one at a time for blessed aids. The bandage system bounces from stack to stack so the blessed get used.
I do the multi stack method to aviod looting. Making them adverse colors and corner placing them the colors change is good for seeing when one is used.
Welp open beta done downloading. Time to see the hype.
I collect junk at the bank all the time, haven't found any yetI found a pair in Haven a few months back. I generally pick up every pair of scissors I find on the ground just on the off chance they're an old newbie item and try to insure them. This is the first time I've actually gotten lucky and found one. I'd sure love to have more, but as I said earlier, they're not easy to come by. The one pair I have now will be horded until UO goes poof. I have found quite a few double exceptional items though, from people doing just as you said, cleaning out the bank on an old account, and not realizing that those things are actually worth quite a bit to the right person. I once even found a full 5 pc set of same crafter name, double exceptional, spined armor that someone was so kind as to leave for me to pick up.I found a pair in Haven a few months back. So is the only way to tell if an item is newbified is to try to insure it? If not, what other ways can you tell?I generally pick up every pair of scissors I find on the ground just on the off chance they're an old newbie item and try to insure them. Newbiefied decay timer is faster than usual... (i wont advise you do this if you worries lossing it) drop item on ground.. i think less than 1 minutes item will be gone.. otherwise kill yourself (newbiefied items remain upon rez), you cant insure the newbiefied item (if the item is not newbiefied.. you loss 600gp)So is the only way to tell if an item is newbified is to try to insure it? If not, what other ways can you tell?
