Shadow Lord Sightings

Greetings All,

I thought it might be a good idea to start a thread on this shard as other shards have done on the times of the sightings of the Shadow Lords.

I logged in about a half hour before the server went down this morning and saw one in Winterspur. It was still there, but not for long *grins*, after the server came back up.

We've been told by the devs that the Shadowlords spawn at 1/2 day intervals. So far the people I've collaborated with believe this means at server up (roughly 6am PST) and the 2nd time at around 5:30pmish/6pmish PST. Identifying if there is a consistent spawning schedule and if so, when that is has been made even more difficult at this point with all the shads going down for 'Emergency Maintenance' yesterday.

Can anybody confirm? Who wants to weigh in on this assessment?

I don't have the luxury of scheduling my life around SL spawn times; hah! so to date, I haven't been on at these times.

I logged in an hour before server down for maintenance..
there were 3 shadowlord manifestations at the standard locations... ( which seems like it was 12 hours since the emergency server up time and not a standard spawn rotation).

1) Wastelands (Inu hut)
2) Mt. Sho (volcano)
3) Lady of the Snow

all areas are in Tokuno Islands

I solo'd the one in the wastelands with my mage/tamer + gd
I was working on soloing the one @ Lady of Snow with my bush/dexer when I ran out of time and the server when down. When I logged back in.. there were all kinds of peeps all over the 3 locations. I got cloaks of corruption and minor ToT3 arties (bottles of new color dyes and old minors). The loot on them is typically crappy.. so far I have not heard of anyone getting a crimson or any such. But I did read of others having gotten the new mempo as a drop.

The apparently spawn every 12 real life hours.. so I'd expect around 5:15-5:30pm shard time .

I'm sincerely glad that you started this thread, Bucko. I know there are folks out there who've been unable to attend the event due to job, kids, real life, etc. As of July 15, 2009, these are the approximate times in which the Manifestations appeared in the Waste (the hut), Mt. Sho, and Winter Spur (by that funky black field) in Tokuno.

•Waste - approximately 5:20 pm (PST)

•Mt. Sho - approximately 5:30 pm (PST)

•Winter Spur - approximately 5:37 pm (PST)

The times posted are within 5 minutes of the Manifestations actually spawning. This'll give you time to set up, drink alcoholic beverages, or use the Ivory Throne/Outhouse on the Skara Brae Fairgrounds. I hope this helps out.

There was one Manifestation at each spawn point. I had read in another thread that on Atlantic, there are two Manifestations at the spawn points. The post can be found here. NuSair is the poster that stated the two Manifestations at the spawn points.

Also, it's a double-edged sword. It's amazing seeing the shard get together and kick some Manifestation arse, but at the same time, the fights lasted a minute (if that). So that's the caveat; great community teamwork, REALLY quick disposal of the Manifestations.

I agree with what you're saying, Cadsuane, and there are definitely positives and negatives to the Manifestation deal.

I'm hoping after they see this, they'll make some adjustments. Whether that be more frequent spawns, or making them tremedously more difficult (and therefore up longer).

well there's a shadow lord at the lady of the snow now. and I as a small time fighter cant deal with it and all the spawn . if someone feels like helping i would appreciate it.

Shadowlord Manifestations will now spawn at two hour intervals instead of twelve.

That's... pretty much it, yeah, sure, that's all we changed. Heh.

they are easy you just have to blow them up with the black rock spell to break off there shield then they go down easy
