UO screw up again, or what???

So, I dig around and find my chest with my backpack full of Cloaks of Corruption this evening. 34 Cloaks of Corruption, or so I thought... As I'm pulling them out, I notice that one says "Elven Robe" NOT "Cloak of Corruption". Upon further inspection, I find that I now have 32 (THIRTY TWO) ELVEN ROBES and 2 (TWO) Cloaks of Corruption.
Now that I have been screwed over and have a grip of WORTHLESS Elven Robes instead of my Cloaks of Corruption, I feel very fulfilled with my latest UO reach around.
I keep all my event items in one chest, just seperate them out into different backpacks/bags so I know how many of each I have. I haven't been in that chest since the the Black Rock Detector thing ended, where we killed all the ShadowLords & Fallen Warriors. I've got my PlaneShields and PlaneSwords in the same chest, different bags, yet nothing has happened to them.

Anyone else get bent over and have their Cloaks of Corruption turn into Elven Robes for no apparent reason?

Pure Black elven robes came from melissa >.> I have 3 of them or so....I would just assume you mistaken them for corruption but you will refute that as even possible. Just thought I would throw the information out, if you got burned or not, I can not know.

I had the same thing happen. and I know that I did not save any of those robes from melissa.

Going through my PlaneSwords, I find that some have converted over to "The Holy Sword". Now I only have 9 PlaneSwords and 4 NEW "The Holy Sword's". My PlaneShields all seem to be intact.

I kept my Melissa Event stuff in a seperate chest, and I think I only kept 5 black robes, 5 red dublets, and 5 pearl necklaces due to their extreme regularity in dropping and normal every day status in game. But like I said, different chest, so I would not have put them in with the items from the BlackRock Detector Event even if I was silly enough to keep that many of the plain black Elven Robes.

Funny you should mention changing items. I had a chest full of threads of thought, fate and life. I had them sorted out in their respective groups, but when I went to start doing cloak turn-ins I was pulling threads of thought out of my threads of life pile. Could be just coincidence but I could've sworn I only bought 10 threads of thought a couple months ago, never farmed them, and yet I had enough for 2 of the new cloaks that use them.

A few of my threads of fate turned into threads of life. I kept my cloaks in the bank, all of them are still Cloaks of Corruption.

All of my cloaks were in the bank too and stayed as Cloaks of Corruption. Threads were in a secured chest in my house. hmm...

Well, like I said, I can not say if any items got changed as I am not aware of it. But if it is any consolation to those who quoted and responded to me...I can only find 2 of my cloaks, one of which is my display one. So yea...I have to start over with the cloak gathering....and still dunno when the shadow lords spawn on the shard I am trying to do this on, or the "problem shard". Meh...

Was looking the other day as I chatted with a guildie. I found only 2 or 3 Cloaks of Corr, but a bunch of Black Robes in the same box (all Lined up together) & I thought it was odd, for I knew I had a few more. I like you try & keep Event items together. In another box I had my Melissa robes, Red Doublets & Pearl Necklaces all together, so now I know what happened to all my other ones I knew I had... They all turned to Black Robes . Oh well

Two of my cloaks of corruption turned into elven robes.
As I was sorting things the other day I was thinking there were an awful lot of Holy Swords. Now I know why. Thanks for that information.

I had 40+ corruption cloaks at my house and none changed.
This was on europa if that helps (and if u need one)

Sadly I only had 2 and both are fine, I turned in all my swords and shields but one in the spring cleaning and its fine also. This is on Cats.

Ok, so maybe I am not going crazy then as this happened to me as well.. I had all of the threads sorted into different pouches from the invasion. Went to get threads to turn in cloak and had to resort as the pouches were all mixed.

Same thing with the cloaks, could have sworn I had 5 but only were found in my chests. I did find a couple black robes where they didn't belong, one even being in the bank of my necro (used the cloak on necro to lower his karma and put it in bank when done)
