Cloak of Corruption

Did anyone else find that some of the Cloaks of Corruption turned into Elven Robes while you weren't looking? A couple of mine did and I have one left that's still a cloak. No big deal but what's up with that?

yeah, they are all supposed to be the Elven hooded robes now, not sure why you have some that are cloaks. This was much discussed about a week ago when Draconi announced it. There were a bunch of posts about it if you look back, and even a poll about what slot the "cloak of corruption" should take.

I only have one that didn't turn into an elven robe and I'm not sure why either. I'll have to do a search on that and see what Draconi said. I missed it since RL has been very busy. Thanks!

phew...i thought for a minute you were saying that they are no longer cloaks of corruption...they still are but just in robe form correct?

I don't mean to be negative here, but I have just turned a cloak of corruption into a cloak of power, only to find it is an elven robe and I am not a great fan of those. I also cannot dye it to as pale a grey as the plain dresses or robes, (not a good thing for a fashion conscious ghost you know!).
I am a little saddened that one of the unique and brilliant features of this game seems to be being eroded slowly.
The range of attire is as I say unique, that together with the multitude of hues we can colour them, means we can all be as individual as we like.
Now though we have the sorcerer's and scout suits that cannot be dyed, and with this event we have no choice of cloak :sad2:
It would be soo much better if there was a choice box of say, the elven robe, robe, plain dress and some choices for you lovely chaps out there too.
Do we all want to look like smurfs or hidden under clothing that other than colour is identical to the next person, I know I don't?
I really really hope that this unique element of the game isn't diluted any further.

Personally I dont think humans should be able to dress as an elf. I m human so I can say that. Also I dont like looking like an elf!

Did you buy a regular dye tub from the tailors and use it as it to dye the robe?

Second, I'm assuming you absolutely have to wear one of these items? Isn't that a choice of the players and that the game diversity is only limited by your choice?

As a human myself I heartily agree Maggie ... I love the extra's this gives me, but think I may have to abandon them to retain my human, ghostly look *sighs wistfully*

I did try a new unused dye tub from the tailors too, but all that did was dye the robe a hideous green colour hehehe

Did you try the new TOT dyes? The silver one might work for you.

The OP may have fallen prey to not checking what items she was collecting for a long time. Though posters have long contended they had something they often turn out to be mistaken as bugs don't mysteriously strike 5 people but nobody else.

This isn't a flame or a troll but you probably just didn't pay much attention. Nobody really does.

I almost fell victim to this. I kept the elven robes from Melissa, and for a minute tried to mark those as a quest item to turn in. Needless to say I was quite upset when it didnt work! You might have some of these robes mixed in with the corruption cloaks, seeing as how those tow event happened close together. I am not dismissing the probability of a bug, but doublecheck yourself. I finally found all my cloaks of corruption buried in a chest YAY!
