Vendor deleting items?

Oki after checking the forums, i found that you no longer can move items between your own vendors... not sure why it was gotten rid of , I allways liked that feature.

What i didnt know was that the vendor deletes the item if you try...

I was moving one of my vendors today, and thank god its just the one selling lockpicks...
But since i must have missed the patch notes where it said you could no longer move stuff between your own vendors, I went a head and tried to move the lockpicks to the new vendor...

I got the message that i could no longer do that, ah well darnit... so i was going to grab them form the old vendor but ...the picks where gone...checked my bag...no picks....ground....no picks....

So i tried again...same result...picks dissapeared...

Is that suppose to happen?
I mean just knowing myself and my vendors when i stock, i got quite a few and packs open at the same time and sometime stuff ends up in the wrong vendor, or i move crap thats in a vendor instead of a bag...
While i get that i can't no longer do it, it shouldn't delete the stuff

Wow, that's bad. But, it doesn't seem like they did it by accident. It seems like a purposeful thing.

We should start a thread on the worst you've ever been screwed by uo. It would be amazing to read about some of the things that have been done to us.

The no moving of items between vendors was put in when the vendor penalty charges was implemented.

Because different vendors charge their fee at different times, if this isn't done, players can play musical chairs with expensive wares and shift the goods to a second vendor just before the first vendor charges his fee. After the first vendor collects his fee, you move it back

But your disappearing lockpicks issue is a bug. I just tested with stacks of 2 and 5 lockpicks as well and all they did was bounce back to the first vendor when I try to move them. Tested using VDP, manual pricing, free. Also tested moving it immediately and after waiting for 5 mins (to ensure that the "cannot buy" timer isn't the culprit).

Last week I tried moving items between vendors... you must put them into your pack first. But my items were just fine and I didn't lose anything. Like Harlequin said, it must be a bug.

Tried it on my other vendors on another account and it worked fine there... so not sure...

Just a thought... I use KR to stock my vendors ( I know, things look awful in 2D when I do). If you are using KR, sometimes the backpacks go wonky and things "seem" to disappear. The only way to fix it is to log out and back in. Were you using KR?

and just for the heck of it try checking the moving crate?
