When was it introduced? Was it renamed? If so, what was it before?

It was introduced with with the old ToT, I believe. You could get them as turn in rewards.

Think you can get it from a japan token too for 50 charges. Let me go look...

hm. So no one else has one?

What a time for Chessy to go down. I could have Zelda auctioning it for me.

Can anyone get a list of all of the ToT 2 dyes with an image of each color and it's name? There have been 3 rounds each with a new set of dyes and the only one I do not have complete information on is the second set with the coal and so on in it. I only ever find partial info.

If someone can provide full and accurate info I can add a full guide detailing all 3 rounds of this event.

It looks like BombBloke updated UOGuide to include subdued coal, but the info there is confusing. How were the 10 use Greater metal dyes obtained? The only dyes I remember getting were the greater neon dyes.

The greater neon dyes came from the first Treasures of Tokuno. Those were replaced with the dull 10 charge dyes during the second Treasures of Tokuno. I have subdued coal as well as some other colors.

OK thanks Shellybean.

So ToT 1 we traded in for 50 use neons.
ToT 2 we traded in for 10 use metals.
Now ToT 3 we get 1 use minors as drops and have no dyes to trade in for.

And somewhere in the mix Japan got additional dyes.

While I never got to participate in the previous two ToT events, to my understanding the ToT2 dyes may've also dropped as single use minors (which could be turned in for 10 use majors).

That is correct. They dropped as 1 charge and you could take any 10 single use bottles and turn them in for a 10 charge bottle of your choice. You could also turn in any of the other minors for a 10 charge bottle but it just made more sense to turn in single use mixed colors for a 10 use bottle of one color.

Just a side note on these metal dyes now that I think about it. Originally these dyes did not have any names affixed to them. It was not until a later patch that the dyes started showing a name on the bottle while hovering over them.

Well,

there are one more thing about the metall colours.
There are a total of 30 dyes with 1 charge ,and only 9 of the colours could be chosen as majors.

That is also correct. I had various shades for each color. I believe they chose the darkest shades as majors.

I wish I could still find the image that showed all of the different shades. I will have to dig around my hard drives and see if I can find that one again. If I do I will post it.

EDIT: found the image it was here all along :)

5 Colors in 6 shades.

well ,

they choose different shade for different colours.
If you scroll up you see that there are 3 dyes with rose in the name for instance.

BTW,I have all the 30 bottles...

...

The ToT2 dyes are the original NPC armor color. Not sure the exact timeframe, but a while back (definitely pre UO:R), the NPC armor listings would have the armor pieces in random colors from the image posted above. Of course no single NPC sold a complete set of a single color, so people actually sought out complete NPC armor sets based on certain colors (gold, dark black, and dark rose being the main three).

ToT2 reintroduced those colors as 1 shot minors that included every color in the plate chestpiece image and 10 shot majors that were a selection of 10 of those colors in an odd distribution, so you didn't get every possible color as a major (i.e. the darkest black was NOT a major and if I remember correctly was about as rare as the Chaos Blue in terms of drops).
