Just looked about on test and the guys are there in the grey robes for the cloak hand in, its 10 threads and a claok for each one. didnt have any threads to check out what there like but the faction one can be brought for 5k silver and its a cloak not robe unfortunatly, so guessing they will all be cloaks.

Havent found one of the guys to kill in tok yet but ill keep looking.

With the Ghost changes, if a murderer dies in serps hold/fire dungeon, can they not jump into despice as a ghost, alternatively can they not jump into destard and then into the terra keep? So you mean to tell me if i die on a red in fire dungeon/serps docks, i have to head out the front of destard and go red healer hunting or help stuck? Freakin brilliant. does that also mean if you are dead in the star room, you can not walk into the terra keep? Guess i could hop on test and check it out


EDIT: So i just went to destard, died, and jumped into terra keep no problem. How is this supposed to work?

Corpse was in non-champ area in destard, so that wasn't it.
Second one, i guess possibility.
Third one, maybe the spawn has to be started?

Edit: I'd like to mention, that i just logged back on the char, i logged him off in terra keep, and it sent me to a random shrine. So that works good, nice job.

Edit: I killed myself outside destard and tried it, and when i fell into terra keep it instantly sent me to a shrine. My concern here is, is this because my body was on the same server as the terra keep the first time? Is it because it was decayed, yet not in a champ region? Hmm....

I'd also like to know, as this char was a blue that was sent to a shrine, think it was Valor. Will a red character be sent to the chaos shrine when this happens?

Guess i'd like to hear some clarification from Draconi, about something with the patch besides the cloaks

We've looked over the feedback from the boards and test center players, and want to make the cloaks just a little more interesting without trying to replace quivers. So we're going to introduce some slight changes:

• Rather than use the "cloak" artwork, we'll use the same elven robe artwork as the Cloak of Corruption.
• This will use the "robe" equipment slot instead of the "cloak" one (that the quiver uses)

Life:

• HP +3

The entire thing will span several weeks, essentially with the "big parts" outlined in the TC1 notes occurring on weekends (or the most convenient, prearranged time with the shard's EM).

There may also be filler and wrapup mini-events with the EMs tailored to the individual shards (each shard being different, I can't predict this part! )

Plus the new “Shards of the Gem of Immortality”. Will these be on the corpses of the 3 shadowlords (the ones in the final battle, not the earlier manifestations)? Or will they drop in your pack like arties?

The only "required" ongoing spawn are the Shadowlord Manifestations, because they drop Cloaks of Corruption. They'll be spawning for the duration of the Treasures of Tokuno event - I don't have the final cut off for that right now, but it will be before the rest of the event arc completes.

The message being that you should gather Cloaks now and prepare for the Shadowlords battle to come.

Christmas in Summer The champ changes sound like they rock for the underdogs. I like the new cloaks, the next phase of the event arc, just about all of it. Long time coming. Watch how many log back in after months to get back into the swing of things.

Not that I'm ungrateful for the upgraded stats, but erm...would these be too greedy to ask for? 5 is a nice number. Very nice number. Esp with HCI/DCI. Goes well with the DCI/HCI caps of 45. And magic property DCI/HCI caps of 15...

The Shadowlords themselves will be defeated, the entities, the Three.

The Shadowlords *faction* will remain a bastion of chaos, but there will be a separate battle to determine how strong they remain after the event arc.

There are no new Doom arties.

They go directly into the pack of the top attacker like a ToT.

Before you go all gung ho crazy and change the artwork. what if some people hate the elven robe lol, personally i'd rather have a cloak(cape) lol. Or make it like the shrouds or robes, or optional, or something! anything but that dreadful elven cloak.

Also, why not the quiver slot? The only thing viable to wear in that slot is the 5 dci quiver for all non archers.

The robe slot could be any number of the Replica robes
Veteran reward robes
Rare robes, etc.

Think it makes more sense throwing it in the quiver slot. For if nothing else, variety. Why should a mage wear a quiver of arrows on his back when he isn't an archer, just to get the 5 dci bonus, when he could have a cloak(cape version) on . Especially the 3 dci/hci/sdi one, for a wrestle mage that is awesome! But if it is using the elven cloak, yuck, and i'd rather use any number of replica robes.

I've read your testing on it and it seems to work like it is described in the patch notes. What exactly did you want clarified?

I'm going to test it some more later, but whether reds will go to chaos, whether ur body being in spawn area/dungeon server/a body in general before it decays, matters. Also, seeing as the second i dropped into terra it kicked me to the shine, im concerned that if you die in despice, say up past the ramp. And come back down, depending on how the body thing works, will the sec you hit spawn area, it kick you out? All thigns i can test on my own im sure.

And yes, melissa's cloak is an option

Correct me if I am wrong, but the point is to get rid of ghost cams -- not to send you somewhere to res. If you're a red ghost player (not a ghostcam), you just do what you normally did to res before this patch. The "sending ghosts to a shrine" is just to get ghostcams out of the area, they coulda sent them anywhere really since once these changes go in, no one will use ghost cams and thus no one is gonna be sent to any shrine.
Do you see what I am saying? There seems to be no reason to code in sending red ghostcams to the chaos shrine.

So is this separate battle going to do something like pit Minax against SL and COM against TB, and then the last faction standing out of each battle becomes the new Chaos faction and the new Order faction on each shard? And at that point, four-way fights and faction politics become a thing of the past, we get two new strongholds (with one having better amenities than the other based on how well the shard does against the three named Shadowlord entities), and you'll turn on the new system in all facets?

I know what you mean, what i am referring to is the problems the real players in the area are going to run into because of the ghost cam changes. For instance, i don't wanna lose my internet conn while in despice, come back an hour later and be teleporter to the valor shrine out in the middle of absolutely no where, have to help stuck to brit cause the red can't res there, then run to the gate from there, then hop to jhelom or moonglow lol. I'm pretty sure periodic excorcism, the other part of this addition, would take care of everything just fine.


While on this topic, is exorcism fixed in despice yet?

I can't ever make it on for those events either. Somehow they always seem to be scheduled for when RL intervenes.

As much as I would love to be able to earn a +10 Stealth cloak, it just doesn't compare to seeing a grandchild learn to ride a bike without training wheels or one with disabilities walk on his own or say his first real words clearly.

"Ghosts with out corpses" means just that...if your corpse has not decayed then this will not affect you. I sympathize with your red char question but I have no answer to that, go red on test and test it out .

Err...NO.

The new cloaks are granted by handing in your current cloaks of corruption and some threads to new npcs.

You can get the cloaks from killing the manifestations of the shadow lords.

Each shadow lord will drop a gem of immortality, but after reading Draconi's post I am not sure how this works. Patch notes say one from each shadow lord, but he said each of the top attackers get it?

The top attacker who kills a Shadowlord receives that Shadowlord's shard-gem. Thus, there will be three shard-gems total since there'll be three separate Shadowlords to fight.

Vet robes provide Resists; the only way these would be redundant is if they provided resists too. If you are saying we all should wear the same thing and shouldn't face a choice (do I want more resists or more stats/HCI/DCI?) then I disagree. There should be more choices rather than less... take the Crimson Cincture for example: when are they going to make another half-apron that is good but different than the CC so that we have some choices.

Though I agree with you fully on the sash slot.

I still think the quiver slot was perfect, there is only 2 valuable items in that slot currently. The sash slot has the leutenant sash, which is rediculously sweet. WE WANT THE KILT SLOT! lol, j/k, but i would of liked the quiver slot, i like cloaks!
