Some of the NPC’s, especially the ones that you may have encountered in the past events, will respond to the keyword RUMORS from now on.

The NPC’s might have useful news at times that you can access in this manner. However, like an old proverb goes, “What you don’t see with your eyes, don’t witness with your mouth.”

Don’t believe everything you hear!

I'm just teasing of course. About a week ago, The Baja Roleplaying & Event Alliance began its own rumor page on their forums.

We will be posting rumors related to both our own player-run plots and storylines, as well as rumors created by the players related to the official storylines, here. If you've heard a rumor, or are villainous enough to create your own, feel free to post them.

It'll be interesting to see how both these tools will impact the storyline and influence the players.

OOC: I wasn't completely aware of what all this meant (and I'm still a bit foggy as to what can be posted as a "rumor"), but from the looks of it, this is a very nice and welcome addition.

Essentially, this lets players help give shape to their world, right?

Where do the NPC's get their rumor database from? Will they be created by EM Seppo and EM Pallando, or can we as players introduce rumors that the NPC's might repeat as well?

I see a lot of room for all kinds of creativity here.
