Archer Armor Question (Platemail impact archery)?

Does anyone know if armor type has an impact on archery? I'm looking to upgrade from the all leather suit I currently use for one with better stats. Here's the one I'm contemplating (70s suit):
Ancient Samurai Hel: DCI 15%
Verite Platemail Mempo: Reflect Physical 15%
Verite Platemail Hiro Sode: Hit Point Increase 4
Verite Platemail Suneate: Mana Regen 2, Lower Mana Cost 7%
Verite Platemail Do: Reflect Physical 14%
Barbed Leather Gloves: Hit Point Regen 2, Reflect Physical 9%


Was wondering if this would be good for an archer or if archer's need to stick with all leather armor?

To my knowledge the armor type does not currently matter. But I would scap that Mempo and that Do, most likely the Gloves too, Also if you are human you will lose the JoaT meditation, not a very big deal but still something to consider when changing armor types.

Can not think of anything else at this time.

Platemail does not affect archery.

It does, however, have an effect on meditation.

So if you're human, I suggest sticking to medable armor.
If you have med on your template, stick to the medable armor.

Otherwise, wear what you want (especially if you have a high mana leech bow collection)

I will swap out the non medable pieces. I'm assuming you are recommending dropping the reflect physical damage pieces because as an archer, I normally attack from a distance so shouldn't be taking on much physical damage?

Leather armor (and leaf armor, for elves) allows you to use Meditation (both active and passive) without requireing the Mage Armor property. Studded leather, ringmail, chainmail, platemail, and woodland armor all need to have the Mage Armor property to let you use your Meditation. Focus and Mana Regen are not affected. Samauri platemail pieces that are exceptionally crafted will naturally have the Mage Armor property, this is the only exception that I know of.

Yes. you could get better items specially if you already have all 70's no need to replace the items you have with the reflect pieces as they wouldn't do much for you.
