I have searched a lot of places and not been able to find all the information I need to assemble a good mage suit. So, I have a few questions that I would appreciate answers to if you know.

If you know a single site that has all this info, let me know that as well. I found sites with bits and pieces, but most of it is outdated.

New questions:
How does karma effect necro spells? Does lower karma increase dmg and duration?

Spirit speak increases necro dmg spells power right?

Questions:
Does chaos dmg on quiver of elements apply to spells cast? The item says 100% chaos dmg.

For mage weapon skill, does it subtract the value, e.g. -28, from your magery and that counts as the melee skill? So, if I had a mage -0 sword and 120 magery, it would be like having 120 swords?

For a mage, what is the max LMC, FCR, FC, SDI from items?

What is the max SDI from items + skills that can be achieved?

How much SDI does GM inscript give?

If you are GM poison skill, does your 120 magery poison field do more dmg compared to having no poison skill?

Thanks a lot for any info you can provide.

One other question...
Does meditation stack with lich form regen? What about lich form + wisp. I want to maximize regen using mostly skills if possible.

Quiver is moot on a mage...go quiver of infinite for DCI always. Damage from quivers is reliant on archery and archery only.

Mage weps do not make you a swordsman...as their name implies it is a mage wep. Swords of prosperity do not make you a swordsman, as you cannot do specials without the actual skill.

LMC 40% fc/fcr 2/6 sdi cap is 15% (25% with GM scribe)

Inscribe is 10% SDI @ GM.

Poison dmg is based on poisoning and eval...not magery.

Cowboy covered it pretty well, for poison:
Mage's - operate on the formula - [Magery + Poisoning ]÷2
- After calculating your result, the level of poison you can expect is listed below:
-- < 65.1 = Level 1 poison
-- 65.1 to 85 = Level 2 poison
-- 85.1 to 99.9 = Level 3 poison
-- 100 and higher = Level 4 poisoning

- Casting the poison spell, you need to be within 1 tile of your target to get the proper level of poison.
- Casting poison fields, will always result in the proper level of poison.

See: http://uo.stratics.com/php-bin/show_content.php?content=30682 for more detailed information(that's where I pasted that from)

Yes, though I don't think this counts towards your ability to perform special moves.

Note that your current Magery skill translates directly to the weapon skill, but equipping the item lowers your Magery skill. That is to say, if you equip a -28 weapon, your Magery will literally drop by that amount. You can boost it back up using jewels if you like.

This might help. Maybe. Can't be bothered checking it myself.

How much SDI does GM inscript give?
10%, but it also buffs some of your other spells.

They do indeed stack.

Plenty of information is listed under the Spellcaster Forum. You just have to look a little bit. e.g. Necro mage suit help, etc. From all that information you can indeed put together a good suit. Whether for necro or otherwise...

Wow thats some pretty weird wording. Some of the older wording, which I can't find a quote for, used to state you had to be within 2 tiles of your target.

To cast your enhanced poison level with the "In Nox" spell you can have one tile of space between you and the target. (within sounds like you have to be standing one tile from the tile your target is on top of)

If these are tiles in UO
1 2 3 4
5 6 7 8
9 a b c
d e f g

Target/caster can be on say 1 and 3 not 1 and 4. Or 1 and 9 not 1 and d. 1 and b will also work but 1 and g will only cast the minimum.

Also for nox mages remember that your magery vs target resist determines the chance of casting poison on a target. If you don't have 120 magery on a nox mage they are next to useless. So the best thing you can do is have 120 magery and 80 poison. 120 magery and 100 poison is a waste of 20 points, I recently retrained poison to 80 for my nox mage (so I could soul stone the 100 poison). Fields don't seem to query vs resist, that means 100 magery 100 poison would work, but seems pretty silly to do especially if you are going to pvp.

Also the poison level doesn't seem to match that chart. For some reason it could be the RNG on the casters side with magery vs resist or the rng for casting an nox or chugging pots. But every 20th or so poison I cast appears to be immune the first 10 or so pot chugs. Really it seems like a lethal poison but the system is so inconsistent its hard to have the patients to test this theory. oh and its been this way since before rumors of the degrading system was going to be added, where armor ignore would do less damage every time you were hit, or cure pots didn't cure as well the more they were used etc etc.

How does karma effect necro spells? Does lower karma increase dmg and duration?
The Wisp familiar gives more mana back depending on how low your karma is (it also gives mana to your party members according to the same rules). A Cloak of Corruption is a great way to flatline your karma (if you have access to one).

Spirit speak increases necro dmg spells power right?
Yes, check the spell descriptions as to how.
