Rare Beetle?

Have any of you ever seen a "Sparkly Beetle"? It actually DOES sparkle and this player uses him for IDOCs. However I never see the bug carry more than 13 stones. The sparkles go away when he's mounted.

Player tells me he's rare...so rare I've never even heard of em. Anyone?

I could be wrong, I could be way off base .....

The player may just be pulling your leg. The effects you notice may be the Discord Effect.

Yup, sounds like a disco'd beetle to me. I've never heard of any sparkly beetles in game.

my friend was zapping a bug like mad trying to duplicate it...think she tried discord, but we'll double check

What's the best approach to taming a Rune Beet? Is it ride able (don't think so)?

Sparklies definitely sounds like discord. Could be gift of renewal too. What's the reason that you say it's not discord? Does the sparklies look very different?

Gladius : Safest way is peace or honor taming. Beating down to low hp then lead taming is also possible, but it's alot more dangerous coz they poison you on top of their magery.

Bring a friend to heal/cure while you work on your lead taming techniques. Takes a while to learn, and I still haven't mastered it yet after years. Hence I honor tame most of the time

How about a picture of this beetle? A picture is worth a thousand words and all... might just answer the mystery question.

Tell the beetle to stay and walk away far enough for his gump to turn gray. Stay there for 1-2 mins then go back to the beetle. The sparkles should be gone because the Disco has broken.
