So I am opening up a repair shop on Great Lakes.. obviously it's not going to be too profitable as all I'll be selling is mainly repair deeds (I got tired of never being able to find repair deeds when I needed them!), but I've wondered why we can't repair items in our homes using item repair deeds.

According to the deed you must be under the supervision of an NPC tailor, blacksmith, tinker, etc. for whatever deed you're using. Is it possible to add, say, an NPC or NPC deed to the game that we can use in our homes to place a tailor, blacksmith, or tinker that allows us to use repair deeds at home?

Maybe these NPCs won't sell goods like a normal tailor or blacksmith, but they could at least open up the option to use repair deeds.

Better yet, make the deeds usable if you're near a crafting station such as an anvil, spinning wheel, forge, etc.

:pancakes:

Craftable Work Stations with limited charges (something like 250-500 uses)
Something for crafters to make that they can actually restock on. Good idea

I don't have a problem with this. It doesn't make a difference if the crafting station is in town or in someone's home. It also encourages the use of other crafted goods - anvil, forge, etc.

Maybe they could have a buyable contract like barkeeps that would allow you to place an NPC that would count as a shop and it would use one of the barkeep slots of your house.

I think you can only have 2 barkeeps, so this would still force you to leave your house (a good thing). Make one contract per crafter type: Tinker, Tailor, Blacksmith, Carpenter, Bowyer. Put a timer on placing/replacing them (like 24hr), so this would still force you to leave your house (a good thing).

Call it a "Deed to a Proficient Tinker; Tailor; Blacksmith; Carpenter; Bowyer". You can dress them as you please.

Towns started dying when home forges and anvils became available. I personally would like to see a percentage boost (say 25%) to not reducing an items endurance when repairing and using town repair shops. THEN I would think this would be a good idea, otherwise is it really needed?

Me too. Public forges could increase enhance chances too.
