so i found this a little odd.

recentlly got my last 2 tamers some greater dragons.
(yaaa last north american shard finally done!!)

and was training them both on a Shadow Elemental to train them up fast and get them servicable.

and i noticed somthing i havnt seen before.

my one Greater Dragons Stamina capped at 119
but the dex is 125

now, i may not be the best tamer in the game, but i have been playing a tamer for several years now, and have over 30 of them in game, but i cant recall ever seeing that before.

infact i went through my book (ya, i have a binder so i can track all my pets) and i couldnt find another that had this happen.

anyone have this happen before?
have the stamina cap lower then the dex?

Differences in dex and stamina are common on a couple of the one slot pets. I haven't seen a greater dragon like that though. And thinking about it I can't think of a one slot with less stamina than dex, only a few that have more stamina then dex. Bit odd that. Not sure if I'd keep the critter unless it's good enough elsewhere to make up for the slower attacking.

I have seen one like that as well. His is capped at 117. No idea unless the drag para'd itself while it was being tamed??? Wish you luck in finding an answer Poo.

It happens because during the taming process, the GD blessed himself. The stats halving upon taming was based on the blessed stats. Unfortunately, later when the bless spell weared off, the GD lost more stamina. Since stamina follows the Dexterity, the GD is actually capped at (dex - (bless spell/2)).

thats kinda where my mind was wondering when i was thinking about what could have caused it.

has there been an official word about this, or is this just our community best guess?

It is not only a guess, it is a fact. The good side of it is that you can use at your advantage by cursing the GD during before taming it. I have right now a GD with 125 dex/140stamina.

I made a Post about it in this forum a few months ago.

So would this theoretically mean you could get a dragon above the 1000hp "cap"?

Three of the greater dragons I have tamed have the same qwirk. You can help your dragon out if you keep it blessed, so its stamina goes above 120 (it will swing faster). This only works if you have decent Eval Int.

The best process for buffing ANY pet that has stats reduced when tamed is to discord them(reducing its spell resist) 1st making sure it does not bless(if its blessed the total effect is halved) itself then evil omen --> curse then tame it. Next gate it off subserver before the discord and curse wears off and wala

1001 hp
143 stm
551 mana

606 str
125 dex
551 int

85/81/45/55/71

120.5 wrestling
112.5 tactics
??? resist(still training)
100 anat
115.8 magery
100 eval
100 med

note the above method does in fact add 50 hp and drops 50 str points

the mount of stm added is a percentage of its total stm to start and the strength of the curse.

I dont have any currently but I have sold a few cu sides with 650 hp and 140+ stm and they do in fact swing faster if ya bless them to 150 stm!

That means ANY pet with reduced stats from taming ice worms reptiloins anything!
