I do not recall such an event....On that note they already have Ridable Seahorses they just do not spawn, basically they are just not "in game" it is not a complicated thing, I am sure there is some other reason aside from "it don't work" because basically it is a one tile boat that you command with your mouse. (I have not checked the UO file folder for some time so unless they removed them they are in fact a part of the client)We were promised these with one of the previous expansions, but the devs couldn't make it work,

The seahorses were supposed to spawn in Ilshenar with the launch of LBR because you can't place boats there. Then they scrapped that idea at the last moment.Cloak&Dagger said:

The animation files actually exist in the 3D client.

Is that to say they are no longer present in the 2d client? They use to be there, but again I have not checked in a bit of time so it could have been removed I guess.
I've never dived into the 2D client's animation files.
if i ever see someone riding a sea horse in ultima online i will quit immediatly, lose my mind, and become a hello kitty island adventure adict.

I'd rather have rowboats with huge steampunk magical motors that you have to feed with puppies and elves. They'd look like a fireplace with gears and a big windmill that spits fireballs behind you.
Plus you could point it away from shore and blast people on the shoreline with it.
Honestly though, I'd rather to be able to ride dolphins or water/wind elementals.

Nope, you are popped onto a "life raft"/"wreckage" that is one tile and doesn't move. You have 2 minutes to decide what to do, then it decays and you are washed to the nearest shoreline.
Then you add icebergs so we can have some Titanic wrecks and lots of drama.

I want customizable pirateships with cannons that can be used to wage a sea battle with other ships...
Seahorses, steampunk speedboats, and huge customizable ships would be great ideas for a UO
irates! expansion... And sea vortices...Airships would be cool too! And I have supportive arguments - See, ballons existed in the previous Ultimas. And I am not talking about the pre-cannon U1-U3 (where you can also find space shuttles). U4 is canon, and has a balloon outside Hyloth. So there.
