Tried it, didn't work. Eventually, went to my laptop, which patched properly, then copied the install over to the desktop to fix it (after making sure patch folder was empty).

How did you fix it? I am have the same problems downloads the patch but gets an error installing.

i think it's interesting every patch that comes around, the 'best' pvp players either vanish for a few days until their scripts are updated also, or are arrogant enough to still think they're gods and go out fighting only to find they get smoked. over and over...

He had a 2nd system that patched fine and he copied that working one over to the 1st system. Works only if you have a 2nd system that managed to successfully patch.
Otherwise, the common solution that worked for similar issues in the past is to delete the files in the UO patch folder and patch again. Close uo before deleting. Read second post.
Note that this did not work for Basara though. Not sure if it will work in your case.

I still can't get it to patch, deleted everything inside the patch folder it just redownloaded the patch but error on installing.

Delete your hack program lol! 
I had the same problem after the patch where they stacked smoke bombs n stuff, i had to re-install uo, probably an easier way to do it but i had no idea at the time

If you tried to patch and were unsuccessful and you emptied the patch folder and tried again unsuccessfully, try reading the patch log and find out what failed. The patch log has the info from every patch ever done so just look at the bottom 2 sessions.

quite possibly, if the typo required the adding or removing of a letter the file size would no longer match.
