As someone who has been paged-on many, many times in the past for "offensive" character names... (my smith is a transliteration of my wifes' name, and takes no account of what that combination of letters might sound like in English; and my warrior is our daughters' name - not an English name, and therefore subject to the "thats' foreign, so you must be trying to bypass the profanity filter" accusation...

There is no need to attack Fluffi in that way. EVERYONE who read the guild initials on UHall read it the same way, it would only be a matter of time before someone reported it as such to a GM in game, leading to possible action against your account.

I think if you actually read fluffi's post you'll see they where actually attacking me.

Once again in regards to an abbreviation that YOU find offensive, its really what YOU are reading into it. Look at some of the current guild names, names of animals (faction horses especially), names of players, that are profain, I can see a gm really taking action (deleting yet another whining page).

Your points mute anyway as I have changed the guild name as it was not intended to offend in the first place.

Well, speaking personally, "Friends United Kingdom United" sounds pretty forced.
It bore all the hallmarks of a name made to fit an acronym, rather than an acronym that came innocently from the name.

Had then idea based on Cuk, it was going to be FOTUKU but that was too long. Friends of the United Kingdom united.

There is already a FUCH guild, a HOES guild, PMT guild, a BONG guild, just to name a few that some people may find offensive.

Three different chars on europa named Jesus, omg! Ive seen a char named coon running about who I did actually ask why he had called himself that, he said it was based on barracoon.

Some people may find them offensive, then again some people may find the name **** offensive, its context based. Perhaps a small part of the problem is being limited to four characters for a guild abbreviation.

Once again, and for the final time.....the guild name is now FAA to save anyone any further soul corrupting morale damage. I spose some people might find FAA offensive, Federal aviation authority, dirty dirty plane watching freaks.
