I was given a white cu from a friend. Its healing skill says 89.2 yet it wont cure itself.... Was having it fight demons for fame and skill gain. Everytime it got poisoned it wouldnt heal would just wait till it eventually wore off. It almost died a cpl of times.

Is there a reason for this? I mean my other crappy dog i took down to kill demons and never had to heal it and it only had 70 healing... the new one is almost 90 healing and it wont cure itself. Is there something i can do or what. A dog that cant cure itself is of little use to me...

Edit just thought of something is it because its anatomy is only 60?

Based entirely on intuition and half-remembered aspects of healing long-forgotten, I think you need 70+ healing AND anatomy to cure poison.

I could be totally wrong, and often am.

Edit: Apparently, I lied. You need 61.0 in anatomy and healing to cure poison. That said, higher anotomy couldn't hurt.

I don't know quite what to say ....

Based on what your saying I would say that something seems amiss, but I also think there is probably a reasonable explanation for what is going on.

On the other hand, if the Cu is Bonded, then there is old saying that a Death tends to cure / fix your problems .....

Just curious is the Cu fully trained (well except for Healing)?

Is the Dex at 125? If not then I could just plunk this on the table, maybe it is being interrupted while trying to cure itself?

When I am training things, I always start off with the Resist Spells using Soulbinders etc. It doesn't take all that long and it also raises Dex/Stamina to 125. The Dex at 125 seems to me, to be more helpful while trying to train the other skills.

I think Kazumi has the right of it. It looks to me like it is an untrained cu sidhe and just needs a bit more anatomy to cure poison. It's really not uncommon and happens to quite a few of the cu sidhe I've trained, especially when you discord them.

Again thx for the replies but it seems it was the low anatomy. Just figured at 90 healing he would be able to cure never thought that it needed the anatomy.

As for the resist training i just dig a ele up and put whatever pet on him and cast weaken and clumsy on them while they train on the ele takes no time to gm the resists and they are also working on the other skills at the same time.

Spellbinders make resist spells fly. I took a greater dragon from 80 something to 114 in about half an hour (I used disco on it for faster gains). The pet also does take some damage from them, so dogs can gain healing and anat.

It was probably the anat on the dog. With anat at about minimum for curing lesser poison, it probably is failing a lot. Use a shadow ele or go kill some hard non-spellcasting stuff for a bit. Arctic Ogre Lords are nice, or just plain Ogre Lords.

Hintori,
How did you get the Spellbinders to attack your GD without the GD killing them by just looking at them? I've tried "all kill" immediately followed by "all stop". Result: dead Spellbinder.

Where, exactly, can Spellbinders be found?

I remember running all over New Haven, and not seeing a single one...

They are found in Old Haven. I discoed the dragon first, then would peace it and could get one all kill/all stop off before the peace wore off. Drug it around old haven until I had enough.

I have the Spellbinder and the GD at as far a distance from each other as I can get them. After a few are on the GD it is easier as you align the incoming SB such that the GD is on one side of the current one and the new one is on the other side, I also tend to use the Grave Yard there and the Tombstones to facilitate the process.

What I do differently from you is I say All Kill followed immediately by All Follow me.

I also make sure the pet is not guarding me and I Invis to lose aggro.

I tend to get 6 or 7 on the pet and then just do a token Vet every 1 to 3 minutes (depends on the pet).

So I do not drag the pet around I park it with an all stay, go find a SB and bring it back to the pet.

My GD was Discoed but not Peaced. I will try that, thanks.
