UOAM replacement?

Sorry if this is a dumb question. I am just returning to UO. I once used UOAM and tried today but when I launched it got some errors so I am guessing it is no longer working. Has anyone made something to replace this great product? I am using UO 2D not KR.


---Never mind.. I found a post about fixing a broken UOAM install and mine is now working. Sorry about that.

the same file is available for download on uoam.net if you prefer to download directly from the developers site. You have to look for the file but its there, just a little buried.

UOAM is still working (see postings above) and a most useful tool, especially for sailing. I recommend to every adventurer to have also a printout of a good UO map lying beside the keyboard. I personally have printed (and laminated) maps of all landmasses, and I use them all the time. You can download them here:

I wish uoam still updated with all the new locations, one of the best uo tools ever :thumbsup:

If the client is similar to that on KR, the KR map shows the location of all party members i believe. That may have to be the option, I kinda do hope it does get updated though.

Party members, but you can only have what, i believe 8 people in a party? So if you have more than that amount they can't see the group, and is KR's map zoom in and out capable? i never tested this.

Yes I wish UOAM was still updated, or the dev would release the code to be updated by someone else. He does state explicitly that he would not though. I would even be willing to sign non-disclosure aggreement or the like to get the code and help out in updating it.

KR's Map is fully Zoomable and from the sample Pics I have seen, SA is even better!

Most likely, the problem is that he's probably bound by an NDA himself. I'd be willing to bet that the code used to make the program is being used elsewhere, and he really CAN'T release it.

I think it would be a worthwhile project for someone else to create a similar program. If it can be done once, it can be done again.
