Thankyou devs for answering my long overdue question about all the time i wasted looking for bamboo stools.... awaits eagerly for the link to become live... oh and feel free to drop a bamboo stool in my pack for the like 100 hours ive wasted searching for an item then was clearly never there...only the duped same graphic short stool.....ohhhh or have we ''just'' found a new spawn spot//// LOL.....After a full year or more of none/zilche for sale.

Well, that would be the cynical interpretation.
A more generous reading might suggest that someone has successfully monopolized the spawn site and they don't want to just yank that out from under someone, just to appease a jealous mob.
But either way, you're getting a spawn site added ... isn't it time to raise hands and celebrate successfully changing the world?

The way I read it, they are spawning, but the location it spawns could be along a wall or next to something so that the only way to see it would be to have circle of transparency on or by use the CTR Shift keys to show all object tags. Either way, my luck I find out where they spawn and the next day they announce that for the 12th anniversary everyone will get a stool.
Yep, possibly like the Full Jars.

I can not, for the life of me, remember the item, but there is a stealable item that is exactly like that. It drove me nuts trying to find it, til another person happened to be in the area looking for the exact same item and alerted me to that "old" trick. Times like that my age starts to show through. I hate getting old.

I hope you're all happy.. whining enough about a rare item gets you another spawn of it, now it's only a matter of time before it's not rare at all and just a fairly ugly deco item. Shame on the devs for selling out; so much for a few remaining secrets.
You should turn that energy to crying about how virtue dungeons are only for newbies, how punkbuster can stop most cheats but isn't implemented, or any other number of more important things.

Pretty much have to agree.
Well, you carry on thinking virtue dungeons are for newbies and I'll carry on hunting in them, in peace, on a regular basis.
Plus the devs have stated on more than one occasion that punkbuster wasn't implemented because of problems with their EULA.
And actually, I think most of the stool hunters would have been happy to confirm that there really is a stool spawn, because all the stools that have been found in game are labelled 'a bamboo stool' and the one being sold for silly amounts of gold is labelled 'a short stool' which just happens to be the description on the stool that is part of the Humility cloak quest. That, of course, leads to the very strong suspicion that the stool being sold is not in fact spawning, but has been created through nefarious means.

Many people still hunt the virtue dungeons.. but only for gold or resources, not a challenge. The punkbuster FAQ answers the issue of the EULA, yes you may have to agree to it if implemented. The devs have never said the stool was a dupe, in fact the FoF says they will add ANOTHER spawn spot.
Hooked on Phonics worked for me.. how about you?

GM only gear, bottom of Hythloth... In UO we make our own game, so why do people continuously fail to make their own challenge? Is UO too easy? drop all that runic crap and go hunt paragon Balrons naked.
This mentality always irked me, UO is such a free form open ended game, if it's too easy make it harder. Nothing stopping you.

Geez you said GM gear and run to the bottom of Hythloth reminds me of what some in UT used to do in the Europa guild many years ago. They called it the Kiss of Death and you had to run down to the bottom of Hythloth with leather or poor armor and 2 potions. You had to make it to the bottom room of level 4 and there was someone sitting down there to verify you actually made it. This was in Fel as well not trammel where you can run through the mobs. If you died you had to run back up and get rezed and run back and try to get your gear.

You fail to see the true beauty of UO... it is what you make it to be.... if you make it to be too easy perhaps your scope of vision and challenge is too small.
Broaden your horizons... try new things... and for the love of God do not tell me that you have done EVERYTHING in-game... I'll call you a liar! I don't care how many years you have played... how many hours you have logged... it is not possible to have done EVERYTHING in-game. I still have yet to EVERYTHING in-game. But I'm still having the time of my life doing what I do in-game. Perhaps when I've finally grown weary of that I'll try what you do in-game... perhaps ... and when I tire of that I'll try what other people do... or I'll invent something else for me to do.
And please don't tell me there is NO one else in-game to party with or to get involved in a guild with because there are no solo shards.
Try finding a youngling and helping them. Though I don't recommend handing them everything they need... you'll bore them... teach them the basics... help them here and there along the way... Perhaps show them all the most fascinating places on your shard... Unique places... Unique deco... and tell them stories of your heroism... Inspire them. Give them something to strive for. Just try not to rob them of their own experience.
