After all the doom & gloom posts, I'd like to know how many returned to UO and how many are new to UO...at least among Stratics readers.

What about the I never left option? 11 years soon.
We've had many a guildmate return recently. What's more, we've recruited many a returning vet who hadn't played for 5 years+. I should point them to this thread.
I picked Returning, although I came back around the end of 2007, so a little longer than 12 months.
The last time I had played was somewhere in 2001/2002 range, if I am remembering correctly.
I am very glad I came back to UO! I've had a great time experiencing all the new additions and making new friends. Chessy has been absolutely wonderful to me!
Forgot to add, I started back with a brand new account, and within a couple of months, I reopened an older account after remembering my log-on details. I am still running both accounts.

There's a few on LS, but only some of them post, and of those that post, only some read U-Hall so I don't know what the LS response rate will be.

If you haven't started/returned in the last twelve months, it's expected that you don't vote at all.
I need that option too. UO had been a part of my life the last 11 years and guess it will be to the day they shut down the servers.
When you make polls, be sure there is a useful choice for all.
Some never left
Some did have a break or more years ago, but had played the last year without any break
Some left years ago but do still hang on Stratics, even when they had not played the last years.
I am not sure about how many left , but i know Atlantic has seen a good number of players returning.

Played from 99, then left for 2,5years to play wow(must have lost my mind) came back in 07 and played again and then went to try lotro(again slightly mad) now back again for about 4 months. Going to stay now as I always end up coming back so why leave in the first place and waste time somewhere else. Its never the same and you always come back.
I know it may not be a huge number, but there are 2 whom have returned to UO on Siege and they will be joining my guild there, as soon as their new chr. accts. are out of NEW guild on Siege.
They each left for rl busy skeds. in 2006/07and have now returned on brand new Ultima Online accts. Hey two returnees is two returnees *especially for Siege*
I think one of my friends from Chesapeake may be returning soon too...so that be a whopping 3 returnees.

Aye and a few of the KPD on Chesapeake have returned within the past couple of years and they are still playing too after returning. They built new homes when they returned on Moonglow I even gave one of those returnees my Moonglow Lookout Point spot for her *returnee* home spot.

I left due to frustration with dupes, scripting, hacks and general seeming appearance that the Dev team can't even get bugs fixed within decent time. How long has the insurance bug been around?
still around as of last week
for me anyhow.but really tho its nice to see thoes votes. not sure if there is even a link here anywhere on uo.com

I returned around 16 months ago so I could not vote .
These Doom and Gloomers have been there since UO went live and simply pull crap out of their rear ends to articulate how dissatisfied with UO (any game really as they are on all games) and if only the Dev's would do what the Doom and Gloomers want then everything would be peachy keen.
