I've had a few laughs with those messages. I think the most memorable was when I was in Hythloth, I had the whole spawn of the room on me, just as a gargoyle opened the door to let several more monsters in I got 'your luck just ran out' No kidding??!!

Actually, the "Your luck just ran out" is a message you get when your use of a UO Tenth Anniversary luck statue wears off. It always comes at the most inopportune times, though, and it's never anything less than unnerving.
