Weekend Goals

Hopefully got a bit of time to spend on UO this weekend so...

Planning to convert my Pure Bard to a Disco Tamer. I have all the skills I need on soulstones and a trained CU in the characters stable so should be up and running quite quickly. Just need to build a suit, set macros and i'm away!

Collect some Putrifyer Spleens with my new disco tamer and try a few run throughs of Paroxy for the first time with my Sammy... Hopefully get a Swampie from it

Have a few run throughs of despise on my Stealth Necro and hopefully score some nice scrolls/loot...

Last but not least, find some new stock for my shop, which is looking a tad bare at the moment because i've been too busy to play UO much!

Anyone else got plans for their weekend?

I'm going to be GGSing my tamer every 10 hours (only 15 more days to legendary lore) so I can get my .2 per day in taming and lore. That's an ongoing struggle. I hope to have is lore to 120 within the next 2 weeks or so, but still have a good 10 points to go in taming, so maybe 2 months to finish that off.

But while I'm waiting on the GGS timer, I have to run a few solen quests for translocation powder BoS's. And I'll likely make a run or 10 on my thief to pick up some crate rares for my vendors. (Those square toolkits have been selling very well lately.) And a bit of artic ogre lord hunting to keep my fame and karma up on my pally.

I'm supposed to be going to a cookout on Sunday, but I'm thinking of just skipping it. I don't really want to drive 2 hours for a burger and potato salad that I could easily make at home during UO breaks.

Black Sun heres a tip - just target a pet with animal lore, I've found it returns gains just as quick as any target based skill with a timer between uses. Hope this info helps x

I'm not worried about lore, that's raising easy enough. My main focus is the taming, but for some reason I get lore gains faster. I've been scrolled to 120 taming for a while now, and working it up pretty steady. Lore I just scrolled to 120 about a month or 2 ago, and it's almost there. Funny how that works. I usually get my lore gain on my first tame attempt at my GGS in taming. I'd say daily I invest maybe 10 minutes in my taming. Just enough to get my GGS for the day.

Work on my newest tamer on Yamato and go on a rune-marking spree on Lake Austin to fill up the books in our guild rune library. Decide whether or not to try to finish a faction thief/trap remover on LA or transfer over one of two that I have on Legends. Help a friend farm hiryus and cu sidhe. Decisions, decisions....

I dropped a new Keep the other day..... so I'm using my weekend to rebuild and Move the Bazaar, turn the old Bazaar into the New Inn.... and then move all my stuff around between all my houses, and finally decorate the new Keep....

Though I have one more plot I haven't built on and I'll have to think of something to put there.

You know, thats one of the great things about UO. You aways have a list of things in the background on your "To Do" list. Sometimes things go to plan and you get a good session where you strike a couple of things off your list. Sometimes things dont go to plan and you have to defer some of your plans. Either way you always feel one step behind the game so to speak ... which is a good thing as theres always something else for you to be working towards.
I think when the day comes that your "to do " list is empty then thats the time to quit. Thankfully that day hasntcome yet

I am going to try and get rid of some of the junk I have accumulated over the last 10+ years! I am a real magpie and have run out of space. It is just so hard to part with memories ...

I did *something* last night for most of the night, did a pretty big round of mining earlier today as well as PvMing up some gold and gems afterwards.

Tonight, some more PvM ant farming and maybe *something* a little later.

I started a new character on a new shard for me to have fun for the weekend. I want to see how built up I could get him in 4 days. It's a good challenge. I'll tell you, I've gotten used to the stash of items I've amassed on my home shard. I've only played this new char a few hours but a nice player gave me a basic 100% LRC suit to help me get started and I purchased a full spellbook. Those are real milestones for me on a new shard. Now to keep scribing!

Isn't UO amazing?...... we can freely start on new shards, we can transfer from one to another...... I know some games they start you on a shard... you almost get no choice.... and then once there your basically stuck.... you get few to no characters and only one shard... the freedom of UO is just awesome....

I have characters on every shard.... though very few of them have any skill beyond newb..... though if I wanted I could sure work them up... Hope you enjoy the new shard.

Yes, I love the ability to move around occasionally. And this reaffirms that there are kind and generous folks throughout the UO community that are willing to lend a hand to other players they have never met before.
